Last minute booking. Found it to be a lovely site, friendly staff, lovely surroundings and spacious pitches. Dog friendly. Really enjoyed our weekend away.

Very clean, tidy and helpful owner

Great place. We have stayed before and had a serviced pitch but one wasn't available this time and we were worried as we have an on board tank in our caravan. The owner was very helpful and had a long hose that we could borrow to fill up and all was good. Very clean site and good facilities. Definitely recommend.

Couple of nights before climbing Snowdon

Great location for Llanberis.

Quiet and clean

Camping was really nice and clean, perfect spot close to the stream. Amazing walk around in beautiful summer weather.

This site is very peaceful, clean and welcoming. We would definitely use again. Highly recommended, especially if you are climbing in Snowdonia.

Didn’t want to leave

Our stay at Tros-y-Waen couldn't have been timed more perfectly. After months of rain, we picked what can only be described as the first weekend of summer! This made a massive difference to our stay. The ground for our camping was feeling the effects of the rain but that isn't in anyone's control. The site was well kept and very clean. Location wise, it's the best we have picked in all our years of visiting Wales. It was so easy to get to Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Bangor, Caernarfon, and Anglesey, and not forgetting Llanberis for Snowden and even Betws-Y-Coed. So much to do. We're even contemplating retirement here it is that beautiful. We will be back!

Beautiful campsite

Beautiful views, clean, friendly and close to Snowdon and the beach. Perfect site for what we wanted.

Excellent campsite

The owner/manager was very welcoming and helpful, and the site very well run, clean and with good facilities. For my personal taste the location was not ideal (it was in the countryside but further from Snowdon than I wanted and not easy to walk there) and it was a larger campsite than I would normally choose to stay on, but this was down to availability on a bank holiday weekend. I have no complaints at all and if the location is right for you and you like a larger site, then I would recommend it highly.

So good we went back!

I took the kids last year and we liked it so much that it even convinced my wife to leave her "camping retirement" and join us this year! Facilities are always clean and working. The location is great for access to anywhere in North Wales, especially Snowdon (10 minutes drive). It is nice and quiet and remote, but a short drive from the supermarket in Bangor. Paul is very friendly and helpful, you couldn't ask for more. So good my wife is considering something more permanent there!

Really lovely campsite

Tros Y Waen Holiday Park is a lovely place to stay 😊 The facilities are very nice and the location is lovely. Not too far from Bangor City centre and you also have lots of supermarkets, shops and food places nearby. It is also a great location if you are visiting Anglesey and Zip world (which we did).

Would recommend!

Really nice place, friendly hosts, good clean facilities and decent showers where you don't have to keep pressing a button to keep them on! Good handy location to travel to other places. 15 min drive to Snowdon (which we went up) and similarly close to local towns for shops etc. Would recommend :) Thank you.

Snowdon base

Stayed here using it as a base for an ascent up Snowdon with a friend, along with some exploration of beautiful Llanberis. Everything you need is here. Friendly flexible staff, well-kept toilet and shower facilities plus the ability to hook up to electricity or have your own fire space to cook food. All within a 10-15 minute drive of Llanberis and Snowdon, Bangor and a handily placed service station among a great many deal of walking trails and the like! Would definitely use this site again!

Lovely site

Lovely site that was ideally located for our overnight stay after hiking Snowdon. Had no issues and would definitely recommend. Will definitely be back.

Campsite toilet and showers are really nice and well kept. Campsite is a great location with plenty around. Really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Nice, quiet and clean campsite with a friendly team

We had an amazing time in this site - the toilets were exceptionally clean, the team was friendly and very helpful and the site was nice and tidy. We were a group of 5 friends and had a fantastic time - highly recommend it.

Awesome

Thank you to Paul, who was very accommodating after we arrived early for our booking. The location was perfect. We got a massive space for our tent and being able to park your car next to it was a big plus. Facilities were well maintained and not once did it feel crowded. We were blessed with beautiful sunny weather during our stay, and with very minimal light pollution, the kids enjoyed star gazing and they saw the milky way galaxy dust! Three days was not enough to explore everything North Wales has to offer. But, even if you are able to visit every place you want to go, you will want to come back because you will simply love it.

Amazing stay - very welcomed!

Great stay. We wanted to try out camping for the first time and it definitely has encouraged us to do more. The facilities and staff were fab, we will be back!

I booked this site based on previous reviews. I wasn't let down. Good location for our day out to Zipworld. The facilities were clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. I would use this site again.

Great park, great location

The park is located perfectly between Bangor and the local attraction/parks. The owner was lovely to talk to and offers fresh eggs for sale. Would 100% stay again.

Camping stay

Great campsite, friendly staff and an ideal location for Snowdon and Llanberis visit. Clean facilities as well. Would definitely stay again.
