Lovely site!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Oct 2023 Fantastic site with lots of amenities including a dog shower room. Everything was nicely spaced out.
The toilets and showers were all clean and had plenty of space in cubicles.
Only drawback was the area rather than the campsite - we didn't research properly before booking and struggled to find well signposted dog walks around the area once we'd left the site. I'd recommend looking at your activities before you come.

Generally the sign posting for walks in the Peak District isn't great, but there are lots of websites and apps to find routes.

Small Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Oct 2023 Only downside is there are no pubs/takeaways within walking distance! But the park itself is lovely, was quiet but we did go in October. Clean facilities, nice that the shower block has heating on and isn't cold! Would come back.

Longnor does have a pub and a fish and chip shop, but I guess that walking distance is quite subjective. It is a shame you weren't here on the Thursday before or after your stay, as we had a pizza van come up to the site.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Oct 2023 Lovely site, very clean. Shower and toilet blocks were warm, clean and modern. Nice and quiet, will be staying here again.

Fab Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Sep 2023 Amazing place to camp. Great for dogs. My dog loved the enclosed dog exercise field. And the toilets/showers are immaculate. Friendly staff too.

Immaculate and friendly
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Sep 2023 Fantastic site and pitch, beautiful loos! Secure dog field is perfect. Very friendly welcome and super helpful. We booked this site as its adults only, peaceful and near to Chatsworth as we had booked for the County Fair. We will definitely be visiting again.

Pleasant stay
Small Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Nice and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Fellow campers very respectful. Our dog Huggy really enjoyed his play in the nearby dog field.
Bakewell was a delight and we visited it quite often and also did plenty of walks. Beresford Dale in particular was a nice walk through a valley with a river that Huggy could swim in.
The Packhorse Inn in nearby Crowdicote was good for an evening meal and a cosy drink. Good ales and friendly landlord and staff.

Lovely campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Aug 2023 This campsite has excellent facilities and provides a calm and relaxing environment.
The service was brilliant and we were loaned an extention lead for the electric hookup facility. Wouldn't hesitate to return again.
Just one little niggle is that you are not able to erect a gazebo of any kind on your plot which would have made cooking in the rain a whole lot easier.

The reason for the gazebo rule is due to the high winds that we can get up here and the risk of damage to your and other people's property.
I appreciate your point about cooking, unfortunately this Summer has been wetter than we all hoped for!
Incredible campsite - tranquil location
Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Jul 2023 An absolutely delightful stay at Longnor Wood Holiday Park!
The site is beautiful, set in a gorgeous location, with pubs and a local shop only a short drive away!
The facilities on site are impeccable - clean showering blocks and wash areas as well as a well-maintained site. The shop is well stocked with everything you could need for a delightful stay - meats, cheeses, alcohol and all the essentials including medication and toiletries!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we highly recommend the site for either a short or long stay!
A really lovely, tranquil weekend, surrounded by wildlife!
A huge thank you for our special break, we look forward to seeing you again (or your sister sites) soon!

Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Friendly and welcoming staff, very clean areas and thought of the little things to make camping easier such as a microwave, a freezer to keep your freezer packs cold etc…

Dogs loved it. Location is beautiful. The postcode is not that accurate, but that's the same in most parts of the UK.

Special mention and thanks to the wonderful on-site team who couldn't do enough to help. I made the mistake of forgetting my pillow and they managed to source one for me. Thank you!

It was a bit of a shame that Longnor was mostly closed down as we picked this site due to its 4 pubs and shops, including chip shop. There are plenty others to go to a bit further out for food and drinks.
My only fault would be that pitch 4 was close to a soil vent pipe which was low to the ground and we did get the odd smell. Maybe fit a longer/taller vent pipe?

I am pleased that you found our facilities clean and staff helpful. It is a huge shame we have lost so many pubs and cafés over the last few years.
The pub in the village is being refurbished, so hopefully it will have a tenant in again soon. I haven't had anyone mention about the vent before, but we will see if there is more we could do to solve the issue.

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2023 Great location for this very peaceful holiday park.
Check in was quick and easy which is great when you've travelled a long way. The site is well equipped, very well kept and all amenities sparkling. There is a large, safe field for dogs to stretch their legs with waste bins which was very handy.
The site caters for dogs very well, they even have their own shower room, this is a first for us but a great idea! I have already recommended to friends and family and we will definitely be returning very soon .

I am glad that you found our check in process quick and easy. We try and provide guests with the things they need, including our four-legged guests. Many years ago seeing someone spray a muddy dog down with a hose in November made us decide there was a better way to be found!

Lovely, relaxed stay Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2023 Very rural, as described, just the job for a relaxed wind-down. Our dog loved the massive dog walking area and daisy field beyond. He has never bothered with rabbits before, but he has started to get a bit "cocky" now haha wanting to chase them! We went in our motorhome and would recommend you take a car too, to reach the lovely surrounding villages. Can't fault the cleanliness of the shower blocks and toilets, always spotless whatever time of day visited. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Longnor Wood!

Thank you for this great review. We like to think that we are far away from things for it to be tranquil, but close enough you can get to amenities in a short drive. We have so many rabbits on site at the moment they probably need to be chased a little to keep them on their toes. I am glad that you found the facilities to be clean. Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Apr 2023 Me and my partner stayed at the Longnor wood holiday part for 3 nights with our 1 year old cocker spaniel and had such a lovely time. The facilities were very clean with a warm shower! Check in process was really simple. They even have a dog shower area to wash off your dogs after a long hike. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
