Clear filters What a location!
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Nov 2022 Despite pretty poor weather, the site is in a truly stunning location, so views were still spectacular. Facilities super, washbasin in every toilet cubicle. Some with a shower too. Spotless. Loved it.

Lovely campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Oct 2022 Lovely campsite with very friendly staff. Excellent shower/toilet facilities. Would wholeheartedly recommend this site.

Excellent clean site
Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2022 Lovely well kept site, nothing seemed to much trouble for the staff. Had all facilities you could need and the showers and toilets were spotless. Will go again.

Great campsite!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Sep 2022 Super lovely and welcoming staff. Campsite is in brilliant condition, clean facilities and nicely spaced out pitches. Everyone respected the quiet codes. Would recommend the walk to Longnor if you’re up for discovering the local area and don’t mind a hilly trek!

Being at the top of a hill does mean you're always going to have to come back up to get to us, but also means we get great views. Hopefully we can welcome you here again soon.
Great weekend break with our dog
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Aug 2022 Beautiful site. Peaceful place with great walks for our dog. Very clean everywhere, toilets, showers washing facility. Staff around site were very friendly and helpful.
You won't be disappointed staying here 😀

Peace and quiet...
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Aug 2022 A peaceful, quiet and well maintained adult only site. Good sized pitch though with a slight slope. Excellent ablutions with plentiful hot water.

We do our very best to offer peace and tranquillity to our guests. We do the best we can with the pitches being on top of a hill, but I am glad you found it spacious.

Lovely stay Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Aug 2022 Lovely stay and would recommend to family and friends. Would be nicer if closer to local pubs and restaurants but this is compensated by the amazing views.

Thank you for your review, Georgina. We are grateful for any recommendations that you give us. I fully appreciate what you are saying about the pubs etc, but as you say, the views, and I would say, the quietness, are the trade off of being up the hill here. We are also looking to offer pizza on site, but this will be in the future. Hopefully you can come again and try it when it is up and running.
A great place to stay
Medium Tent - Electric Hardstanding Tent Pitches Aug 2022 This campsite it great if you fancy a few nights of peace and quiet. It offers fantastic views, top facilities (on-site shop, showers, pot washing station, toilets, laundry room, chemical toilet disposal, electrical hookups, fresh drinking water, parking, and more) and lots of local things to do.
The staff were very helpful and polite.
My only criticism is in regards to the tent pitches. Since you are pitching on pea gravel, the floor of your tent can be uncomfortable to walk on in socks/bare feet. Luckily, we brought some picnic blankets to put down as a makeshift carpet, which managed to make it easier to walk on.

I appreciate what you are saying about the pea gravel, but we found in the past that by this time of year, the grass would be dead, and it isn't possible to replace it between guests and it tie in properly. I am glad you managed to find a solution with your blankets though.

Suites couples or traveling on your own. Quiet and in a lovely setting.
Customer service could be improved upon.

Really nice site, just a bit far from the pubs if walking
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Standard Pitches Sep 2021 The site is excellent if you want some peace and quiet.
The walk to town is a fair bit away. No children which can be nice if you're looking for peace and quiet.
Possibly the best toilet/ shower blocks I've seen.

It is a decent walk to the village, but we like to think this means whatever you eat/ drink down there already has some calories taken off! Hopefully, we will see you again in the future.
