Clear filters Pleasant stay
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Sep 2023 Check in was easy. Pod was clean and equipped with the essentials. Shower and toilets were clean and modern. I went for the pod to avoid packing a tent in the rain which would have been the case.
Brilliant site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 I returned after 40 years when the town was regarded as not the best posting.
Upon arrival, I was reminded just how friendly and welcoming Maryport people are. The site is in a great location within the old port complex. The history of the town is available and interesting. The town has improved hugely.
The cafe attached to the site is superb value for money and does great food (especially breakfast). It was one of our top places in a 1 month tour of the Lakes and Scotland.
We will certainly be returning.
Bank holiday stay
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Very clean site with an excellent toilet block. Very clean and well looked after by staff, who where very friendly and helpful. A great spot to camp, close to all shops and pubs and a dog friendly site.
Maryport perfection
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Maryport marina was absolutely the perfect place to stay...
Gravel pitches are perfectly level with grass on each side suitable for an awning. Electric hookup was available, with a water tap easily accessible. The toilet and shower cubicles are excellent, a disabled unit is also available. Waste disposal and an elsan point all perfect and exceptionally clean.
This is the perfect place to stay for time around Maryport itself or for visiting the lakes, it's so good we've already booked to return

Touring caravan
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Nice site and would stay here again. Harbour and a great beach are 5 minutes away. Sandy when tide is out so great for the dogs.
Downside is that there is not enough toilets for the size of the site. Clean, but toilet rolls run out at night. Town is a little run down with shops and pubs closed. There are good shops 8 miles away, like Asda, Tesco & Morrisons.
Fantastic
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Aug 2023 Absolutely fantastic, clean beautiful setting. Pod was perfect for what we needed and was very clean. Site staff were very helpful.
I did feel though that the pod we were in was too close to the toilets and bins which meant that we had people lingering outside quite often. But everyone was super friendly.
The cafe served really lovely food and ice cream and a 10 min walk into the town, you will find a fabulous chippy and friendly pubs.
Very nice site VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Very basic site, but has everything you need. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, I would recommend.
If however, you like the idea of being able to wander into a nice seaside town, do not go to Maryport. The marina location is very scenic with great views.

Short break away
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2023 Excellent value for money, all facilities were of highest standard, showers & toilets brand new and extremely well kept.
Definitely recommend and will be back for another stay, small but very pet-friendly town with everything one could need for a short break away.
Amazing experince

Enjoyed thoroughly, the pod was clean so were the toilets.
Very reasonable in terms of price. Friendly staff.

The cafe food was good. Showers are nice and clean.

The shower facilities were immaculate. We would happily come back again.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2023 A fabulous location, firstly because it's on the sea but more importantly it's within a short walk to several pubs and restaurants. Top class toilets. water tap on the pitch. If I could make a constructive suggestion, the gravel is too big, it's hard work walking on it. Best of luck and you have plenty of room for future expansion.

We didn't visit the café that's on site so can't comment on that.
All in all a great place to stay - we will definitely return .

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2023 Our first experience of caravanning! The gas ran out. Unfortunately gas is not available at Harbourside.
The staff went above and beyond to help solve my problem, enlisting family members to drive me to various places!
Grandad George an absolute legend saved the day!! Facilities immaculately clean, everyone very friendly.

Lovely stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2023 We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Harbour Side. Perfect location on the Marina with lovely views. Great costal walks and beach. Maryport is very quiet and run down but there is a nice pub close by that serves great food. The site facilities are very clean but also limited so I feel would benefit from some more showers, however we had a lovely stay.
Weekend stay
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) May 2023 I stayed here with my mam for 2 nights to go on a hiking weekend in the lakes, which is a 30-40 minute drive. Really enjoyed it, it was clean and the reception staff were lovely. I was dreading the showers and toilet being separate but it's a 5 second walk from the pod and exceptionally clean! No complaints, you get what you pay for.
Beautiful location Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2023 Beautiful location and plenty for the children to do. The only reason for a lower location rating is because we were pitched through a storm. Because of the location, we had to move on night 2 for our safety as we had 3 children (oldest is 6 years old and the youngest was 6 months) and there no pre-warning of how badly we were going to be exposed to the wind on our check-in.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Mar 2023 We really loved this campsite. Toilets and showers were spotless and they had great hot showers. Highly recommend this campsite - good size of pitches, nice and tidy and lovely views over the harbour.
Marina café nearby was absolutely first class - best breakfast ever! There are great walks around - a 5 minute walk into Maryport, where there is a lovely chippy and an Indian restaurant which both had good food,
We will definitely be back!!!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Mar 2023 Lovely campsite with views of the marina. Facilities were spotless. Maryport is a Roman town with a lot of history. Nice promenade (Parkrun within walking distance).
Only observation is there aren't many showers, fine when we stayed but might be an issue if site is full.

I couldn't use the shower because I use a wheelchair and couldn't get over the gravel. I would have liked a concrete path. Also, I couldn't get to the footpath because the gravel stopped me from using my wheelchair.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Mar 2023 Really enjoyed our 5 nights on this campsite by Maryport harbour. Great location, cafe for breakfast on site, brilliant dog walking and lovely sunsets.
