Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 The site itself was good, there was nothing to complain about except there was no 'wow factor' for the price.
Excellent Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Our tent pitch was beautiful. The staff members was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were very clean to a high standard.
We really enjoyed our stay and the walks for our dog had the most amazing views. We will all definitely return.
Brilliant campsite Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025 Brilliant campsite near the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel.
The campsite offers an outdoor pool with a children's splash play area and an adult outdoor spa pool. There is also an indoor pool that you can book and pay £3.50 to use. There are 2 main play areas for younger kids and an indoor games room.
Food is served in the restaurant and in the hatch by the outdoor pool. It is a lovely family orientated campsite with dog friendly walks and butterfly trails to explore. The beautiful town of Dartsmouth is a short drive away.
May Half Term stay Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 Great stay, lovely pool areas, very well maintained throughout, friendly staff.
Our pitch location was perfect for families with children, close to the park and shower/toilet block and not too far to the pool, bar, shop etc. Wi-Fi wasn't the best. Toilet facilities were fresh and clean. The showers were ok, could have done with staying on a little longer between button pushes. Lovely walks in the woods.
Close to local amenities, shops, beach, zoo, shops etc. overall a lovely place, would recommend and would stay again.
Very accommodating Recommends site
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2025 Lovely stay, dogs had a blast in the paddock. A few personal issues that the staff were very accommodating, helpful and understanding with. We would come back.
3 night stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 Excellent site, very clean and the site is well spaced. All facilities are very clean and well maintained.
My only criticism is that we were too far away from the main buildings as walking is a bit problematic. We would have liked to use the great bar and perhaps the pool. However, we did not request any kind of disability facilities so our own fault really. Thank you.
Impressive Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2024 We arrived not knowing what to expect, should have done more homework but the husband booked!
Nice, clean, well laid out site. Outdoor swimming pool was clean and tidy and we used the pool spa a couple of times. The shower and toilet block was impressive with the added washing up area a surprise. The bar was nice and the quiz night entertainment was very enjoyable.
All together, a positive review.
Staying at Whitehill Country Park Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Sep 2024 Other than the very intermittent WiFi service, the park is lovely to stay in. Very clean and nice facilities.
Fabulous stay Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2024 Campsite lovely, toilets immaculate and modern. Plenty of showers but not so modern. Dog wash area a great addition.
Hayloft bar was brilliant. Lovely food, bar staff excellent. Outdoor heated swimming pools nice, did not use the indoor pool. We had a lovely week, my only niggle was that the pools did not open until 9am which in my opinion, is far too late. People want to be up and on when on holiday, get their exercise in early and enjoy the rest of the day. It was very frustrating as I swim everyday at 6am when at home, and as a life guard is not on duty for the outdoor pool anyhow, what difference would it make if it opened earlier? 🤷🏻♀️
Excellent Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely, peaceful site, although probably as much to do with the time of year we went (children back in school).
Lovely and clean, plenty of hot water for showers and doing dishes. Lovely, heated outdoor pool. We never used the indoor pool. We did find the food in the cafe and hatchway a bit expensive.
Overall, a lovely site and not too far to drive to drive to Paignton, Torquay, Brixham etc.
Great family site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2024 Spent 9 nights caravanning here in the 6 week holidays. Busy site but pitches are big and have space to play.
Nice outside pool which is heated a little and you can take your own pool toys and inflatables, or pay to use the indoor pool for an hour slot. On site shop is great for essentials but only 8 mins drive away to Aldi, Lidl or Sainsbury's.
Play parks are good for the kids and there is also soft play available but didn't use this. Also, lots of additional activities the site puts on through the week.
Definitely recommend the walk down to Stoke Gabriel along the bridle path, took about 40 minutes. My 6 year old rode his bike whilst the 4 year old walked or went in the festival cart. Great for crabbing on the river when you get there.
Overall, a lovely site, would visit again. A great location with lots of things to see and do in the area of Paignton.
One week stay with my young granddaughter Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2024 I was injured on Sunday night, nothing to do with the site. The staff were amazing and looked after me so well. They also came to my van the next morning to ensure I was ok. In fact I put the joint out of it's socket so a night at Torbay A&E. thanks goes out to all the staff you were fantastic
Great site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Our second visit to Whitehill. Great location, my kids enjoyed walking to Stoke Gabriel for crabbing and woodland walks on site.
Shops nearby to stock up, site shop has bits but it was limited. Nearby Hunt's Cider is gorgeous. Bathrooms are clean and good facilities.
Would have liked the site's takeaway food to be available for longer periods of the day, or even through the week. I assume it was due to being early in the season.
See you on our next visit.
Weekend stay Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2024 Great place great stay. Came last year too, it's all good.
Ideal Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2024 We enjoyed our stay and found the site to be very friendly. With the pools, bar/restaurant and shop on site, it was perfect.
Ideal for a lazy holiday on site and also as a base for travelling round the towns nearby.
Excellent campsite, will definitely return Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2024 Amazing campsite, lots of facilities on site. Very well kept, everything was spotless. Very friendly staff. Great location.
Motorhome stay Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 This is a brilliant campsite. Well worth the money.
Fabulous for children, with numerous play areas and swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor), plus a children's entertainer each night.
Loads of dog walks and on a bus route, although we didn't use the bus.
I would highly recommend this site and will be back again this year.
Excellent stay Recommends site
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 Very nice and well maintained site will be going back
Loved this little site Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 Great little place the owner very polite
Lovely site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 Had a lovely few days. Plenty for young kids to do. Swimming pools are both heated.
Only downside was that the food we had was served warm, not hot. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the site. There are some lovely walks.
The best site we've stayed at Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 We had an amazing 3 nights at Whitehill, we didn't want to leave! The best campsite we've stayed in.
Great facilities for children/teenagers. The swimming pools in particular were amazing!
Staff were friendly and accommodating. All facilities were clean, well kept. Great location, we walked into Stoke Gabriel from the back gate, what a beautiful walk; our teenage son loved the crabbing!
Our grass pitch for our motorhome was a great size, larger than a usual standard size pitch. Close to all facilities.
We will be booking our next trip very soon! Thank you Whitehill :)
Nice friendly site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Mar 2024 We enjoyed our weekend stay here at Whitehill, although the weather was a bit wet, so a hardstanding pitch would've been better on this occasion but that wasn't anything to do with the site.
The swimming pool was very nice and clean so didn't mind paying extra for this. The bar arcade and all other areas were clean and not the biggest, but big enough for us.
All staff were friendly and there were indoor and outdoor activities if you wished to do. Overall, a nice friendly clean site for a short break.
Fantastic weekend and fantastic park Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 We had a fantastic weekend away in our new motorhome. Only the second outing and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The facilities were great and the staff were friendly and helpful - the pool was amazing and the singer on Friday night was great, we had a lovely evening.
Weekend away Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Fantastic site in a great location. Facilities at the site were spotless, very impressed!
Look forward to returning in the summer to try out the outdoor pool.
Not for those with mobility issues Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Toilets and showers were a perfect mix of the usual, plus disabled and family rooms, nice to have dog shower!
Indoor pool was lovely, all other facilities closed until Easter or May. The outdoor jacuzzi looked lovely but was not open and the shop was open on request. Take away was shut but the bar was open in the evenings with entertainment and restaurant.
The pitches felt too close together for us, see pics. All motorhome service points available.
Dogs had to stay on lead, there were many rabbits! We found the dog field too far up a hill. We had to leave early because there was no safe fenced off area for dogs to run free that didn't involve an uphill walk, one of our dogs didn't 'go' for 2 days.
I think the café and bakery could be open all year round, they advertised croissants to order online and collect but they were not available till Easter.
Overall, lovely birdsong and rabbits to watch and woodland area looked lovely. We were too far from the main facilities and had to drive there as quite a long walk and we all have walking difficulties.
Heaven for children in the summer, they have another field being developed into pitches. I can imagine the pool will be busy at peak times or there may be hourly slots.
I would recommend for fit, young families!
