Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Absolutely beautiful campsite, so clean, lovely walks. Great little shop with everything you need. Unfortunately we had to leave the night after getting there as the rain and storms were so bad, but will definitely be returning next summer.

A great location and well equipped

Big site which accommodated us fairly close to the peak bank holiday weekend in August! Busy but fun and great location. Will return in a quieter time to check it out again!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

I took my daughter, son in law and grandkids, they had a lovely time. Lots of space to choose from to pitch a large tent and for the kids to play without being on top of each other. A lovely play park, a shop that sold everything you needed if you had forgotten anything and reasonably priced. Lots of toilets in each block, which was lovely. Only down side that we found with the wash areas was that the soap dispensers weren't filled up regularly and drainage on some of the sinks were blocked for a couple of days, some taps didn't work. The campsite was very busy so I'm sure the staff were very busy too. It's partly our fault, should have asked before but there was only one family room in one block that we found after asking 2 days of being there. Not sure why they are not in each block and a disabled toilet in each block would be handy, as we found we had to wait quite a long time to be able to use it. My granddaughter, who is autistic, couldn't shower in the other block as you couldn't adjust temperature, but the staff where very friendly and the campsite kept lovely. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend.

Small Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The campsite is lovely and the staff were great and happy to answer any questions we had. The shower blocks were a little dated with no temperature control on the showers which could be an issue with young children as they were set to a hot temperature. The ground was really hard so we damaged a number of pegs trying to pitch the tent. The pitches on the main fields were a little too close together for our liking and although it stated each pitch was 6 metres apart, it was still a bit close. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced for the everyday essentials. The bike hire was good value for money. We had a lovely stay at Holmsley.

Not the best visit we’ve had to Holmsley

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Been to this site couple times and been great. Unfortunately this time, it was absolutely packed in like sardines. I appreciate it's summer but I can't say there was much happening to ensure pitch distances and site rules. The quiet time was a bit of a joke. As someone who has a toddler, I really try to pick places to stay knowing they have stricter camp rules so I'm not battling with an upset child. I had to keep asking other campers to keep it down way past 11pm. The park is something I usually enjoy taking my little one to but there was lots of unsupervised kids throwing stones and making it unsafe for a little ones to play. After this experience, I would go elsewhere as very disappointed by how it run when it's busier

Good site and location

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely site in The New Forest. Wide open spaces and good dog walking nearby. Watch out for the ponies though! No Wi-Fi on site, but that adds to the charm. Is possible to get a good tv signal, but weird things happen at about 10pm (I reckon linked to Bournemouth airport!).

Highly recommend

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

2 mothers with children, we were looking for a quiet corner and we found it here! We accidentally found a perfect piece of land with a beautiful view of sunrises and sunsets, away from the hustle and bustle, the road, watching the passing horses. The camp was fully occupied that weekend, but the people are cultured and friendly, safe for children. The toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, there were no big crowds. The staff is nice and helpful, always with a smile. The only downside, it took us three times longer to set up the tent, we didn't know that the ground would be very rocky, we had to buy new hooks (you can buy them in the camp store, for a much higher price, so take care of them before you arrive) and a sturdy hammer, ours broke halfway through setting up. We highly recommend it, we will definitely come back.

Really great place. Staff so friendly! Pitch was good and there was plenty of space between the pitches. Nice little shoot site too where you can get pizzas chips on allocated nights. Toilet block and showers immaculate. Had a great 3 nights stay!

The play park was a massive hit for my children who made lots of friends! The space was incredible the Forrest's were a great place to have walks in especially the late night ones those are the best! It even had takeaway (pizza or burgers with cheesy chips) we all have those lazy days so that just topped it 😅 Definitely recommend! 😍

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

As a family we were first time campers and we needed a place to recharge and connect with the kids. Holmsley was just what we needed. Arrived late and lucky enough that a fellow camper helped us set up the tent before the sun went down. Lots of space great facilities and really good for children. Thank you ☀️

Perfect spot for family camping

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2025

Absolutely loved this site, perfect for kids, brilliant play area and nice and flat for riding bikes. Added bonus that the wild horses seem to like gathering just outside the site. Take away options were good, shop was little expensive but you come to expect that! Toilet and shower blocks were simple but mostly clean. Really good spot for travelling to Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.

Very good and clean environment, recommended for families. The only facility its missing is a designed Prayer room/area, it would add richness to the site.

Friendly staff on arrival. Able to choose pitch and basically just a lovely site. lots of horses and a herd of them waiting outside the gates which was lovely. First visit to the area and it did not disappoint. Definitely book and go again. Good selection of goods, and goodies, in the on site shop where again the staff were cheerful and very friendly. Nice drive to Burley and then a trip to Lymington to watch them crabbing at the quayside. Enjoyed it all. Thank you.

Will stay again

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Friendly staff, large space, choice of where to camp when we arrived (mid July) people arriving later in the week had a bit more of a challenge to fit a suitable spot. Shop seemed well stocked and shower /wash and recycling facilities were good.

Quiet campsite
