Dog friendly, family friendly, couple friendly. Quite peaceful and off the grid.
We stayed in a trailer tent in one of the two large flat and open fields (they used to be cornfields but have been transformed into generous, flat and soft grass tent pitches).
After setting up the tents, the cars move to the car park end of the field, making the tenting field free of traffic and a perfect space for children to play together safely.
Toilets were clean and well maintained. Each with its own sink, nice liquid soap and paper towels. Mirrors with sinks (hot running water) and a washing up area with hot running water. Lovely hot showers. Shower cubicles have a hook for clothes and a shower curtain to keep clothes dry.
Hosts are friendly and helpful. I needed a bit of help setting up my old trailer tent and Gary helped me put it up. Thanks Gary!
At the site, there were families with young children and babies. Some families with older children. Some couples and one guy with his dog. It's a lovely chill place for everyone. Not aimed at music-playing groups.
Sky at night was super clear and I could see sooooo many stars. I'm sure some people might go there just for that aspect.
Very close to Wingham Wildlife park and Howletts.
We took a trip to the historic part of Sandwich. Beautiful buildings.
Would definitely recommend.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Lovely little place to call home for a few days, 30 mins walk away from a vineyard, a few great pubs, and the town of Ash. The site is nice and peaceful, with gorgeous views of the countryside, some of the nicest facilities I've had in a while and with no electricity. On a clear night, the stars are beautiful.
Great location to other short days out like Whitstable, Margate, Broadstairs and Dover. Will definitely return!

Beautiful walk to the local village pub was a high point on Saturday evening. Ideally placed within reach of the coast. Can’t wait to return. Thank you 👍

Bell Tent - Bell Tents Aug 2023 We absolutely loved our stay here! The bell tent was really lovely and had everything we needed.
Our favourite part of the trip was doing some star gazing and seeing lots of shooting stars! Check in nice and easy as well :) Will definitely be coming back.

Bell Tent - Bell Tents Aug 2023 Recently had my first ever camping trip with some friends and I'm so glad that we chose Turners Folly Field - what a truly wonderful experience. We will definitely be back again!!
Gary & Sara are amazing hosts and provided top notch service. Such lovely people and a real pleasure to deal with.
The bell tent we stayed in and the facilities (toilets, showers etc) were so clean and tidy. Every bell tent comes complete with the basics of what you need for camping e.g. gas stove, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, saucepan, frying pan, kitchen utensils, washing up bowl/cloth/liquid etc plus outside there's your own picnic bench, BBQ, fire pit etc.
The location is beautiful too - rural and peaceful surrounded by orchards and fields for walking. On our first night, once it got dark we looked around in awe as we noticed the campsite was studded with fairy lights everywhere round each of the tents. It looked magical!
Please dont miss out on booking this place - you wont regret it!! :)

Gary was friendly and helpful. Enough space for our tent and car. Would stay again.
One small grievance/word of advice, the toilets and shower doors do slam closed so if someone is using them late at night/early in the morning then there is a fair bit of banging which if you're staying nearby, will wake you. That's me being picky and would easily be resolved moving the tent away I imagine.

Bell Tent - Bell Tents Aug 2023 Really brilliant glamping site. The facilities at the bell tent were brilliant with lots of great details, such as the wind break for cooking, the hot water bottles, etc. The washing facilities were also really lovely.

Very convenient, quiet location with space for family sports games and dogs to run around. Clean toilets/ showers and even a separate area with outdoor sinks.
Gary and his wife were lovely and accommodating, would stay again!

Bell Tent - Bell Tents (Dog Friendly) Aug 2023 A very enjoyable stay in a comfortable and comprehensive bell tent. Very friendly hosts and fellow campers too. Lovely to have the fire pit and BBQ on hand and the wind guard helped massively when using the camping stove.
The toilets and showers were both clean and functional. Nicely designed as well.
We would definitely stay again.
A great place to set up camp
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 We had a fantastic stay here, the facilities are new and clean. The hosts Sara are Gary were very welcoming and it's a great base to stay and explore the Kent coast. Having no electric wasn't a problem as we have our own power station. We will definitely be back.
