Very nice day, very clean and tidy

It was lovely camping plenty to do for the kids and adults. Very good location next to the zoo. Cross the road very nice pub shops.

Camping

Have been to this site three times so far brilliant if you have dogs. as nice clean big field next to site always very clean Facilities spotless will be back next year can understand why they will Awards

Poor campsite

Paid good money for this site only to be given a pitch right next the water tap. Although, good for us. When the warden asked us to move our camper closer to the tap, I thought she was joking. If I'd put up my awning, I would have to charged an entrance fee. Very, very poor customer service. Shower blocks, although the floors were cleaned daily, the lack of cleaning above the floor left a lot to desired!

Beautiful and elegant surroundings!

The hygiene was astounding! I would really recommend this campsite, especially for families with children or groups of friends. The hygiene is amazing and the surroundings are lovely. There are many ways to entertain the children including a playground and a nearby zoo. There is a vast majority of space and a trail within the campsite which we found helpful to pass the time. It is truly a wonderful experience.

A good base

Everything you need is nearby including general store, butcher/baker, fish & chips and a pub. Right next door to the Zoo. Site is large and at the time we were there it was during the school holidays so there were lots of children around. Well maintained park. Plenty for children to do.

Campervan weekend

Beautiful, tucked away off the road with great clean facilities for all needs. Easy enough to travel to the coast for a day out at the beaches and return to a quiet, tranquil place to stay.

Nice clean site

Lovely site for kids and dogs to play. Would check to see if there was a wedding first before staying again. Wouldn't stay on a wedding evening, was loud music late into the evening and lots of drunk shouting from guests. Was disruptive for a sleeping 4 year old.

Not great place for camping

It wasn't a great camping spot. Next time, I will look for other options.

Apple wood

The site was fine, would be great if they had more than 10amp and look to build in fully serviced pitches. The shower block and toilet block are ok but could do with more cleans throughout the day.

Great site

Applewood is a surprise behind a zoo. It is a large site with spacious pitches. The site is well kept and the facilities are clean. The toilet and shower blocks are excellent. There is a playground for children as well as discounted entrance to the zoo. There is also a large field and woodland track which is ideal for dog walking. We stayed prior to the Easter break and the site was very quiet.

Amazing

Loved our stay with my 2 dogs. Lovely, big field to walk around and a wooded bit, as well a lovely, clean shower block and toilets. Woke up and heard the wolf dogs howling at the zoo, listening to the birds in morning is unreal. Definitely recommend a stay and most definitely going back for another stay.

Beautiful campsite

Beautiful campsite, good size pitches, very quiet and peaceful. Loads of space for the children to play. Very convenient for Banham Zoo.

Excellent campsite

Wonderful long weekend stay. Very clean site and facilities. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Beautiful site with a lovely playing field and woodland walk.

Unsecured dogs & noisy owners

The occupants of the campervan that arrived on our 2nd day were very loud quite late into the evening. They also had 4 dogs that were constantly barking that were not kept on leads! Became such an issue to our two that are on leads. Constant smell from back of their pitch! Overall, not a peaceful or relaxing stay, apart from our first night. Lovely pitch but very boggy to get on to. Toilet block lovely & clean. .

Everything you want and more

Fantastic location and site, everything you want and more. Great location, great facilities. Lots to do near the site. Will return when in the area.

Glamping pod

Lovely 2 night break. Comfy in the glamping pod. Good facilities. Karen on the desk very helpful she even rang the butchers so we had hot Brie and bacon sandwiches which we had on the way home Thank you -x-

Pleasant off-season stay

Could have been better signposted to the caravan site entrance, but once we got there, the pitch was very spacious. Took us a while to figure out how to connect electricity through big beech hedge, but it was via a tube at the back of the socket box. Actually, said hedge provided good shelter and privacy. Site very quiet, but is is the end of November. Toilets good, and showers (with underfloor heating) excellent. Banham Zoo discount welcome, but perhaps not the best example hereabouts. Good for a couple of hours. Shop at entrance of park is very good, and butchers is excellent.

Brilliant

A wonderful campsite, well set up. The showers were luxury, everything clean, well maintained and right next-door to Banham zoo. We will def stay again!

First time caravan users

We booked this site as it was local to us for our 1st trip in our caravan before we ventured further afield & we weren't disappointed. The site is beautifully clean, the showers & toilet areas are spotless. Pitches are a very good size, well maintained & quite private. Site is right next door to Banham Zoo which is well worth a visit. There's a local shop, pub, restaurant & post office.

Really nice

Everything was spotless and well kept. The only thing that let it down was the price of the laundry and the fact the spin wasn't good and the dryer, therefore, didn't dry. Ended up using my campervan as a drying rack. If you don't need to do a washing then everything is great.

As they are large commercial sized machines they do sometimes need a second token for drying heavier items such as jeans, jumpers and towels. Great find

Stayed here for the weekend and had a great time. The site is within the zoo complex with plenty of parking. The town itself has a local shop, pub and great fish and chip shop selling kebabs and pizzas. The showers are very clean and possibly some of the best we have seen while camping. However, if you are using the EHU make sure your lead reaches your tent before you pitch. Ours was short at 10 metres and the on site team could not do anything to help, apart from suggesting I took my tent down and moved it to another pitch, which wasn't helpful.

I am really sorry to hear that you had to move your tent just to reach the electric hook up box. On your booking confirmation email we do recommend that you bring a 20 metre electric hook up cable, however, if you do not have one and let us know in advance, we are will be more than happy to find a pitch with easy/shorter access to the electric boxes. Hidden gem

A wonderful camp site with great facilities and lots of space. It was clean and friendly and in a superb location, I will definitely be back.
