VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 Was everything you needed on site not too far from shops if you need anything staff very friendly just thought toilets were always wet on floors but most of them have showers apart from that everything was wonderful food was excellent free tea and coffee any time well done

Small Tent - Non Electric Wild Camping Pitches Jul 2025 We stayed here for a night and it was perfect. Quiet and green.
Clean toilets, nice warm shower with good water pressure, a place to wash your dishes. Extremely friendly hosts.
We would definitely visit again!

Great 1st Scotland camping experience
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Super time at WHW Campsite, our first time camping at this sort of place.
We've camped before for big events; e.g. festival, motor sport events. This campsite was great for us as first-timers to proper camping.
Facilities were clean, allowed us to keep fresh. Morning breakfast was a very nice provision and the hospitality of the campsite hosts were superb.
Plenty of space and choice for where to pitch your tent. The site felt safe and peaceful with stunning views over the valley.
The lodge also provides areas to sit inside and shelter from the elements and charge electronic devices.
Would highly recommend for first timers.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Wild Camping Pitches Jun 2025 Gutted I left a day early due to an injury from walking too far in wellies (forgot my walking boots). This place was incredible from the moment I arrived. I came with a new tent that was different to usual and I had 2 managers more than delighted to help and show me what I need to do for next time. Amazing scenery all around for walking and very clean, with staff always about tidying or around if they are needed. Tea and coffee available at any time. I can't fault my stay and looking forward to coming back again for the needed relaxation and much more exploring to be had.
Not for me Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 I was greeted by Mike, who was pleasant. I had requested a pitch where I'd feel safe as I was on my own. I was put in front of reception.
When I pitched up, I asked the owner who was nearby how I got the electric hook up to work as I couldn't. He replied with "it doesn't work, how long is your cable?". Not that long. I went without, even though I'd paid for it.
Being in front of reception was very noisy all day and going into evening. People sitting outside, eating and drinking. The owner constantly on his phone and asking everyone to give good reviews for a free drink. The bathrooms were disgusting. Overflowing bins, dirty paper on the floor and cold water. I left very early hours as I just didn't feel comfortable.
This place was magic
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 We are a couple touring around in a Motorhome from Australia. We had the best time here.
Happened to be a night that the owners put on a BBQ and a Piper for entertainment as well. So friendly and made us feel very welcome. Met some great people.
Steve was the perfect host. My husband loved his local Whiskey. Thanks Steve, we left without catching up.
The views and the scenery was amazing. Highly recommend this beautiful part of Scotland.

Work stay
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Hut Mar 2025 Very gracious and hospitable host. Staff were very friendly and approachable.
Stunning location and the green shepherd's hut is lovely. Cosy and private. Amazing location for central Scotland and Glasgow. Stayed here for 11 nights with work and will be looking to bring the wife with me (holiday next time) the next time.
Lovely little campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 This is a lovely little campsite with a welcoming, friendly and inclusive vibe. A lovely mix of longer-term residents and tourists.
It is a dog friendly site with guests respectful of each other - this attitude is lead and encouraged by the site owner and staff. The communal areas are beautifully set out, homely and clean. This is my second visit and will not be my last! Many thanks again for a lovely stay.
Wow, what a gem of a place
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2025 Wow, wow, wow. What a stunning stop off this place is. I didn't want to leave. The staff are all relaxed and very friendly. I was taken around the facilities when booking in so I knew exactly where everything was.
The showers are separate rooms with their own toilet, sink and plenty of room to manoeuvre. Lots of hot water on tap and not one of those push button showers that you have to lean up against to make it stay on.
The lounge and dinning area is called The Club House but to be honest sitting in the lounge makes you feel as if you are in a castle with eons of history all around. Incredibly comfortable with a log burner to keep toasty and enough reading material to last all year.
Exceptionally clean, relaxed, peaceful and a incredible weekend treat that we will be back to enjoy again.

Fantastic and peaceful
Small Tent - Non Electric Wild Camping Pitches Feb 2025 Spent a very peaceful night here surrounded by beautiful scenery. It's a lovely piece of land that offers all the amenities we needed for our nights stay. They do offer hook up as well, though we didn't need any charge on this occasion, but we have made a note for the future.
We took advantage of the free breakfast, which was really convenient as it meant we didn't have to make ourselves any washing up!
The showers are lovely with hot water and great water pressure. As strange as it is to say, the showers were very homey. I have made used of many public showers at camp sites and aires in Europe and more often than not, they can give off a clinical/leisure centre vibe, but these were done out to be cosy and inviting. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Lovely stay
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Feb 2025 A lovely place to stay, with great views, hosts and staff very friendly and accommodating, lovely food at the hotel. Everything you need 35 mins drive to Glasgow centre. Nice walks on the doorstep.
Very dog friendly which is a plus for a dog parent. Would happily stay here again and recommend.
Fantastic weekend
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2025 Just home from a lovely 2 night stay in our camper with our 4 dogs.
Very peaceful stay with fantastic views, facilities were clean and the hotel was beautiful, with a lovely roaring open fire. The walking from site was amazing and our dogs loved every minute.
We will be returning for more adventures!
Great campsite with amazing views
Small Tent - Non Electric Wild Camping Pitches Feb 2025 Stayed here for the night with my partner and dogs. The site had very good layouts for pitches for tents, motorhomes and campervans.
The staff were so welcoming and helpful and attentive during our whole time of our stay and couldn't be more helpful when asking for help or assistance!
The facilities on site are really good, plenty of facilities available. Would highly recommend staying here whenever near by, on route for travelling or looking for a site that's very picturesque. The site has amazing views and trails at this location. Will definitely be back here and can't wait too stay at this location again!
Great night's camp
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Feb 2025 I stayed for 1 night in early Feb and had a great stay.
Due to it being in the off season, I think we were the only tent on site, with a number of caravans. The staff were friendly and the facilities were fantastic. A nice warm shower and time by the roaring fire for a bit warmed the soul before a night in the tent.
Good location for access to the Loch Lomond area with some great walking nearby.
I'll be staying here again.
Lovely and peaceful
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2025 Stayed with young children and they loved playing in the woods around the pitches. Very peaceful with lovely views from a lot of the pitches.
Good facilities and lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful stay.

It was a real delight to be greeted with such a friendly and welcoming check in! Highly recommended!
