Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Lovely site! A little more expensive than other unpowered sites I have stayed at. This one has lovely facilities and is in a smashing location.

Very friendly site, village lovely short walk from site.
Dogs must be on leads at all times.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025 Absolutely gorgeous!
We were positioned right next to the river which was perfect for our dog to have a cool down dip. An easy 10 minute walk into the village, and the cleanest facilities I have ever seen on a campsite. They even have a fridge, which was perfect for storing ice cold beers on a hot day!
Absolutely loved our stay here, and would 100% recommend.
Fantastic site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Spent the week here and the site is in a great location, just the right size to feel small and friendly and the facilities were always clean and fresh.
Super dog friendly with a lovely walk down past the water and then you can head into town.
Stunning scenery and the local brewery a 10 minute walk away is definitely worth a visit!

The Wardens were very friendly and helpful, they kept the amenities spotless and the site tidy.

The adults only restrictions enhanced the feeling of peace and tranquillity.
We initially booked or 2 nights but extended by the extra night.
Hard to find any fault whatsoever and will definitely book again.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely friendly greeting on arrival with a choice of our pitch.
The facilities are spotless, showers hot and clean. great to have an undercover dishwasher facility with a fridge freezer.
The only thing I personally would have liked is several hedges dividing the pitches, especially pitch 11 where we faced the small immaculate toilet block. It is only a personal reflection on an immaculately kept site.
Such a lovely quiet site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Stayed on this lovely, quiet, adult only site recently for 10 nights.
The pitches are well spaced out, giving you lots of room for both the caravan, car and awning, or motorhome and awning. Toilet/shower blocks are immaculate and regularly cleaned throughout the day, other facilities include an Elsan emptying point, a separate toilet block and washing up area with a fridge/freezer next to the large tenting field and glamping pods.
The site wardens are very friendly and always available to help if you have a problem. The site is within walking distance of Cheddar Gorge caves and not far from the beaches of both Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea, as well as Bristol. Would definitely recommend the site.
Small, well kept and immaculate

The facilities and the site are immaculate and very well kept. I had a pitch close to the river, the bird song was lovely.
It met my need for peace and quiet.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 A lovely peaceful campsite, within walking distance of the town- perfect location for Cheddar. It may not be the cheapest place, but it is the best campsite that I have ever stayed on.
The toilet block was lovely, clean and new. The showers were better than mine at home! All disposal points were all clean and tidy.
A family run site and they were all lovely people, who were there to help. We were a little under the weather, and we went to relax and recuperate.
We couldn't have picked a better place. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will definitely return.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 A great place, only a short walk from Cheddar and plenty of walks close by. The site was clean and the facilities were good. The showers were especially great, powerful, the temperature was adjustable and you could leave them running.
There was a small shop on site with friendly staff. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Probably one of the best sites I've stayed on
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2024 We recently stayed at this campsite and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome that set the tone for our stay. The layout of the site is charmingly informal, with plots arranged more organically rather than the rigid, uniform rows you often find elsewhere. This, paired with the abundance of well-maintained greenery, gives the site a wonderfully relaxed and natural feel.
Despite its proximity to Cheddar village, the campsite is incredibly peaceful. There's a beautiful riverside walk that takes you into the village, which adds to the overall sense of tranquillity. It's a perfect balance between feeling like you're in the countryside, while still having the convenience of the town nearby.
The facilities are absolutely spotless and very well appointed, making our stay even more comfortable. Although the reception has a few essentials available, it's nice to know that both Tesco and Sainsbury's are just a short walk away in Cheddar for anything else you might need.
Overall, this is a fantastic campsite for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained spot, with easy access to Cheddar's attractions. Highly recommended!
Lovely campsite near Cheddar Gorge
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2024 We picked this site on the reviews we read and agree that it is a lovely site for adults only.
It is kept beautifully clean with added amenities in an accessible small kitchen as a sink, microwave, fridge freezer and electric kettle. This was a great addition for us as we were in a tent. The campsite is near a small river and is only a short walk into town. Surrounded by trees at night we could hear owls and of course a lovely dawn chorus in the morning. You can also walk through the village and visit Cheddar Gorge and pubs and cafes selling great food are also nearby.
We used this site to stop-off for a couple of days after a long drive from Kent, but you could easily make this your destination site to explore the lovely area. Different styles of camping are accepted from motorhomes and caravans with awnings, to basic tents and dogs too, who have their own walking area. Expect a warm welcome when you arrive and if you are lucky, some free apples too!
