Farm Field Fisheries - Campsite

Basic but fantastic setting for fishing / camping. Clean well maintained grounds. simple booking. Excellent customer service. Close to big shops, small towns and beaches. If you like peace and quiet. No fuss excellent value, this is the place for you.

Great place, nice stay but facilities were poor

We had a last minute van trip and ended up staying here. The owners were absolutely lovely and the site was clean, friendly and spacious. There were some lovely places to walk to and eat around. It was a very chilled vibe on the campsite too, which was nice. The toilets and the showers though, awful. Toilet and shower block area stinks of sewage and the toilets and shower cubicles themselves are grim. Definitely in need of a renovation. Also, the men's showers have two cubicles in one cabin separated just by a shower curtain, so when another camper opened the main shower block door, the curtain opens in the wind to show you standing there in the shower with no frosted glass! Great place, please do something about the facilities.

The toilet and showers are all cleaned everyday. Most of our other reviews say they are an old facility but clean and tidy if I add a new shower block you won't be paying £19 a night it'll be considerably more. The showers in the men's cubicles are at an angle so nobody can see you. They are hot clean showers - not quite sure what you're after if you're £19 a night.

Basic but peaceful and convenient

The site was peaceful and easy to find. It's in a good location (15 min drive from Southwold) if you have a car, if you're relying on public transport I think you might struggle but not 100% sure as we didn't use any. The facilities are basic, but clean and sufficient. The staff were pleasant enough but weren't overly helpful so make sure you have everything you need before you travel. Overall we would stay again if in the area.

Thank you for your feedback. There is public transport a mile away in the village. You did book the pod and expect electric which is not offered in the pod, only in the cabin. We did everything we could to try and help you, but we would not blow up your air bed as this is not a service we offer and I was quite busy at the time.

Great location, enjoyed our stay and the fishing was a bonus.

Great basic site for the cost

Stayed here for a very last minute weekend away. The site is basic but great for the cost. Spacious fields with plenty of room. The lady that met us was very friendly & helpful. Good location for surrounding sight seeing & days out. Showers & toilets very basic & look a little tired but again ok for the nightly rate.

Perfect place

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, pitched tent next to one of the ponds, so peaceful there. The man who greeted me when I checked in was very polite and helpful. Would definitely go again x

Excellent, quiet site

Really loved this site. Quite close to home. Close to many attractions. We are a retired couple so don't particularly want the frills that go with some sites. We went mid-week so was very quiet. More in for weekend. A huge pitch. Will def go again.

Friendly, clean and welcoming

The lady who greeted us was very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The camp site was very clean and well kept, the ponds were lovely to sit by (I don't fish), but watching other people catch fish was fun. I love photography and captured some stunning pictures of the kestrel who visited the camp site every day. My husband and I stayed for two nights, our first ever camping experience and I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely book again and probably bring the family next time. Highly recommend here.

Perfect stay, we loved it!

I would like to thank Nicky who showed me around the campsite and even gave me useful suggestions for sightseeing and things to do in the area! She was professional, kind and available when needed - amazing stay, couldn't rate it less than 5!

First timers here

We had a excellent stay, hubby enjoyed his fishing. Great communication with owner at beginning until end of stay. No problems at all. Not far from local car boot, and other places. So easy to find. Great value. Will be booking again.

Quiet, well run rural campsite

This site ticked all the boxes for me. Quiet, clean, excellent facilities, well run and friendly. It is a rural site with fishing lakes but close to seaside resorts and Norwich.

Bliss!

Well, if you want quiet and relaxing, this is the place to go. Facilities are basic but do the job, and are far outweighed by the superb location in terms of the beautiful Suffolk coastline and peacefulness in terms of space and birdlife. Oh my goodness, so good to get away from everything. We'll be rebooking another visit very soon.

Awesome!

Great little place, we don't fish but enjoyed watching it. Went for a random walk, stumbled across a pub (oh no), a lovely place only 15 mins walk. Facilities were great. Nikki was very knowledgeable about the area, she even has a huge, gated, grass area for the dogs to run wild in! Will definitely be back.

Great peaceful fishing campsite

A hidden gem we return to every year

Peaceful, family-friendly camping near the sea. This was our third visit to this wonderful campsite, and it's easy to see why we keep coming back. The location is perfect—tucked away among peaceful farmland but still just a short drive from the sea. There's a lovely little village nearby where you can pick up fresh bread in the mornings, which adds to the charm. The campsite itself is immaculate. Everything is clean and well looked after. The toilets and showers are quite basic, but always spotless and never lacking in hot water. You're personally welcomed by the owner, who's incredibly friendly and always happy to help with anything you might need. One of our favourite things to do here is fish. I've gone a few times with the kids and the junior pond is absolutely brilliant—perfect for beginners. You can buy all the gear on-site, which makes things super easy and convenient. Despite living three hours away, my kids have made me promise we'll return every year, and honestly, I don't mind one bit. It's the kind of place that just feels like a hidden gem. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly camping spot with a warm, personal touch.

Flying visit

We were met when we arrived, Nicky was very friendly and helpful and, when we thought we had a problem with our car, recommended her mechanic. Fortunately, the problem was easily fixed and didn't need a trip to the garage. Spacious site and pitch with excellent facilities. My husband also had a very enjoyable day's fishing.

Brilliant stay

Beautiful location

We camped for two nights in September and had a wonderful stay. The site was quiet so no queueing for showers etc. Beautiful surroundings and dog friendly. Recommended.

Would recommend

It rained, a lot! Didn't matter though. Site is great, lots of space. Facilities are perfectly adequate and all work. Fishing is great. Loads of destination within a short drive to visit. Most importantly, the owner is excellent, happy and helpful. Couldn't ask for more

From a warm welcome when we arrived, to the quality of fishing, all I can say is fabulous! Lovely big pitches in great surroundings, nice and peaceful with a little noise from the A12 depending on the wind direction but really not that noticeable when the door is shut! Great fishing. Toilets basic but very clean! Cannot wait to go again and will be booking in the near future! Thanks Nicky!

Lovely camping location

Our stay

Lovely campsite, and lovely owner who was keen to update us with local knowledge about best beaches etc. Well located to get to local towns and beaches. Great for keen fishers with their own ponds. Management clearly strive to keep shower block and toilets clean, but these facilities are looking a bit tired and could do with a refresh. However, facilities are perfectly acceptable, clean and decent for a short camping trip. Also good for dog owners, with a field where they can take their pets for exercise, however, we are not dog owners.

We have thought about putting different shower blocks and toilet box in, but if we do that, the Camping price would go up dramatically but as you said, perfectly clean and do the job so we will be leaving them for now. Basic campsite but fun fishing

This campsite is geared towards fishing, the lakes and views are beautiful. Alan was super helpful whenever we had any questions and was quick to fix the broken shower within an hour. The bait shop on site has everything you might need, you just ring them, and they come and open up. The bathroom facilities were always clean and the showers just take £1 for 5 mins of hot water. The campsite itself is huge, they keep everyone spaced out to give you space. The kids had a great time running round. We would come back for fishing, huge carp in the ponds and very reasonably priced fishing.

Excellent spot for basic camping base!

Everything about this campsite is fantastic. From the walks around, to the shower blocks, to the site owners and it's location. We wanted to visit Great Yarmouth and the Sutton Hoo site, and this sits halfway between each and is 30 minutes from Southwold beach, where I played as a child. Minor downside is lack of hand drying facilities and no hook on the back of the portaloo doors. Literally, the smallest of things. Loved our trip, Nicky the owner is awesome and always helpful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and I felt safe letting my teenagers go off walking together. Worth waking up early and soaking in the peace and quiet with a coffee.
