Clear filters Our second visit was just as good as the first
Medium Tent - Standard Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We returned two weeks after our first visit. The only thing to add to the previous review is that we enjoyed sitting outside our tent after dark watching the night sky and seeing the Milky Way and shooting stars.

Excellent campsite
Small Tent - Basic Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 This campsite was lovely, the facilities were super clean, and pitches were spacious. Location was brilliant, there was a nice walk to East Wittering and a short drive to West Wittering. The only thing as we stayed for a couple of nights on a pitch with no electricity, a fridge and freezer would have been helpful to keep freezer-blocks and snacks cold and fresh! Would definitely come again.

Just for future reference, we do have a campers fridge-freezer in the laundry area opposite reception, it is free to use but any donations in our charity box are much appreciated. Lovely site and facilities
Single Axle Caravan - XL Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 The site is within walking distance to the beach and accessed down a long farm track which is very bumpy.
Camping is divided into 'rooms' which makes for a very quiet experience. With only 15 or so other campers/caravans and on our stay, many of the sited caravans weren't occupied. The showers/toilets are really clean and well maintained and plenty available to use. There's an onsite shop (not self-service) which we didn't use but seemed well stocked, and firepits/BBQs/logs available and free herbs.
The only issue (not the campsite's fault) we had was the mosquitos which were really ferocious. We were all badly bitten, despite using all manner of deterrents, so recommend taking high strength insect repellent and keep using it!

You may have got the access track mixed up with the lanes that lead down to the local beaches & villages. We do have three lanes that lead down to us, but two are farm tracks, which are nice to walk to the beaches & villages, but marked as unsuitable for vehicles. There are links to this map & directions on the confirmation and reminder emails sent prior to arrival and we advise customers not to rely on satnavs as occasionally they might direct you in the wrong way. The main access is signed off the main road with large blue signs.
The wet weather this year has caused a higher than usual mosquito population across the country. There are many tips & ways to minimise this, and other common rural camping issues, in our terms and conditions.
We hope that this did not spoil your stay too much and we hope this information may be useful to have a better camping experience in the future. It was a pleasure having you to stay and we hope to see you again.
Great stay at Stubcroft
Medium Tent - Standard Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 I really enjoyed my stay at Stubcroft Farm. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the campsite was very well organised. The toilets and shower block were very clean and the shower was nice and hot. Each pitch was a good size.

Fantastic week camping
Large Tent - XL Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Stubcroft Farm Campsite. The campsite was very clean and well managed. They certainly care about standards. The majority of the staff are really warm, friendly and welcoming.
We really like the policy of parking cars away from the tents in the car park. That made the camp feel safer and 'greener', as well as create a more communal feeling to the place. It is always good to see children running and cartwheeling, free from the coming and going vehicles. We also really enjoyed being able to have camp fires. That really added to the experience.
Tips - Anyone intending to go to West Wittering would be advised to book parking in advance for 25% discount, otherwise the fee is £13.50 no matter how long one stays. Best restaurant for us by far was Stone & Skillet Pizza restaurant. Very small so you need to book.

What a find!
Backpacker Tent - Basic Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Absolutely delighted to have found this peaceful gem of a campsite. Within easy walking distance of the super beaches at both East and West Wittering, or indeed the quieter bits in between. Stubcroft Farm has undoubtedly become my new favourite site and I cannot wait to return.
From the wonderful, accommodating staff (I was a late arrival yet still made to feel very welcome), to the well stocked camp shop, immaculately clean shower and toilet facilities, laundry room and washing up area, all the things one would hope to find are there. However, what sets this site above others for me are the care and thought that have gone into the added ' extras'. Marked out, individual pitches are nestled into beautifully hedged, secluded camping fields so that you have plenty of space to call your own. There are fire pits and barbecues to hire and dry wood and kindling to buy, saving you loading your vehicle to the gunnels or having to leave Granny at home. Recycling and water conservation are actively encouraged as there are composting toilets for those game enough to forego the sparkly indoor variety, and recycling bags given out to all visitors on arrival.
If you're headed anywhere near this lovely part of the south coast, please give Stubcroft Farm, this friendly, cosy, peaceful haven, a try.

Great campsite
Medium Tent - Standard Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Great location close to the beach and Chichester.
Stayed to visit Goodwood over multiple days.
Facilities are clean and tidy as are the fields for camping.
All the staff are very friendly.
Follow the guidance sent to you to reach the site, other roads aren't navigable by car.

99% happy campers
Small Tent - XL Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 It was our first visit to Stubcroft Campsite & it certainly did not disappoint, we enjoyed this campsite a lot.
The fields were of good quality, clean & very tidy, the ground held up well against the relentless rain. I was very impressed by the cleanliness & quality of the toilets & showers, there were two accessible toilet & shower cubicles available which enabled me to access them with no fuss. The charger lockers are a very good idea & superb value for money. The shop is well stocked for every need.
The staff were extremely helpful, courteous & understanding of peoples needs (special mention to the lady from Rochdale, superb manner & helpfulness 👍). I really appreciated the staff putting the England football match on for the campers.
My only criticism is the road to the campsite off just the main road, it was very uncomfortable to drive along, both the humans & the car struggled with it. Hopefully in the future, the road will be tarmacked, to make the arduous journey bearable.
That being said, we were 99% percent happy campers, I for one look forward to visiting Stubcroft again in the future. Thanks again.

Being a rural farm site, we do have three lanes that lead down to us but two of them are farm tracks. Whilst they are nice to walk to the local beaches & villages, they are not suitable for vehicles, but if you follow the map & directions, it should bring you along our main entrance lane in future.

We are at the end of a long rural copper wire so the Wi-Fi is sometimes a bit slower on busy weekends when a lot of people use it, and it is free to use,🙂 but we do also have good 5g coverage here as well. Facilities were spotless and well designed.
Could do with a bin for dog poo bags, and check out was a bit early.

Checkout is usually by 11am-12midday to give staff time to clean & mow the pitch before the next arrival, much the same as hotels but please ask at reception & it may be possible for a late checkout if there is no one coming in.
There are several, large black general waste bins near the entrance where you can leave dog poo bags, we will look at the signage to make this clearer. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
