Clear filters Owners are rude, campsite was good Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 The owners were very rude to us upon our arrival, almost as if we were schools kids getting told off by teachers.
The lady was extremely rude, immediately questioning why we had three people in the car with only one booking (we had multiple bookings). She was very blunt and generally rude to us, essentially telling us that she shouldn't let us in, shouldn't let our friends in who were running late (even though I called and explained that this would happen the day before). Show some friendliness and warmth to your guests, we are a group of young adults not looking to cause harm and don't appreciate being treated like a bunch of hooligans who you think are going to destroy your site. We tried to offer all the help we could give by giving them phone numbers to contact our friends, which they reluctantly took as if we were a nuisance to them. Overall service is as low as it can go.
However we can admit that after the initial contact, they did not bother us, the facilities were nice and rather clean - warm showers included. The site itself was nice however is next to a main road which can get loud during the night.

Amazing facilities, just what we needed
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Had a night's stay with a friend as we were going to Zip World for the day, so thought why not stay over the night before?
The campsite is amazing, with amazing facilities and even has an indoor pool table that kept us entertained.

Nice, quiet and clean site
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Nice, quiet site within easy reach of lots of towns, Bangor, Caernarfon, Anglesey etc. Nice clean shower/toilet blocks.

Ok Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 A decent site, a bit remote. You get a pitch and access to the toilet facilities and that's about it.
Suits some, but for me a little basic and nothing in the immediate area. Depends what you want.

A shop and cafe are located 1 mile away in the village and are accessible via the cycle/footpath from Rhyd y Galen. Many of our visitors value the peaceful setting and easy access to nearby attractions just a short drive away.
We appreciate your perspective and hope you might consider us again if a tranquil getaway is what you're after.
Lovely location and great, clean campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Came here for my 29th birthday with 2 of my friends and what a lovely experience.
Toilets and showers were so clean and smelled lovely. The site was quiet and the staff were lovely and welcoming. We ended up staying another night.
Great location down the road from shops and walks. Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend. Plenty of room and able to have barbecues and fires. What a lovely place.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Lovely, clean park with friendly staff. Showers were lovely and hot. Nice and tidy pitch. Was great, though slightly on the tilt, but that was no issue.

Bank holiday stay
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Stayed here for 3 nights no electric hook-up in the lower camping field, was lovely.
Well spaced apart pitches and very clean and tidy site, staff were lovely too. Will be back soon, great location to Anglesey and Snowdonia on your doorstep.

A lovely place to stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 What a lovely well kept site. We stayed 1 night and enjoyed the spacious pitches and the facilities are second to none.

Good, private site
VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 This is a quiet private site in a great location with excellent showers and toilets.
The shower pressure and temperature was the best! Outdoor games room were a great touch but there is no reception or warden, so no one on site if you need assistance so you really do feel off grid.

Clean and well maintained site

Good location but there was some road noise in the non-electric top field. Thought £45 a night for a grass pitch without electric was steep.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely site. Clean. Hot free showers. Only downside is the lack of a site shop for essentials, milk, bread etc. Have to travel to get these.

Lovely site with super clean facilities
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The site is spotlessly clean and with large pitches. Makes for a great location especially for Snowdonia National Park and surrounding places. The road traffic noise didn't bother us like we thought it would do when we arrived.

A brilliant campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 A brilliant campsite. Loads of space, pool table, football table and table tennis in a barn. Toilets and kitchen facilities cleaned regularly.
Also, stunning views of Snowdonia.

Large Tent - Fully Serviced Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 Been with them for the weekend. Very friendly staff. Facilities were clean. Children's play area needs attention.

Lovely campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 A lovely campsite with all the facilities you need. Even a games barn for the kids. My 6 year old loved playing ping-pong and table football!
Only about 15 minutes from the train that takes you to the summit of Snowdon which was fantastic. Toilets and facilities all very clean, and campsite very well kept. Will definitely return!

Lovely place
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We had a lovely stay here. The facilities were 5 star and extremely clean. The campsite was quiet and spacious. The staff that we spoke to were friendly and accommodating.
The only small downside was the main road next to the field we were camping in. It was a busy road and became quite noisy in the morning.

Couldn't fault it
Large Tent - Fully Serviced Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 Arrived Saturday, left Tuesday. Facilities were amazing and plentiful, cleaned very regularly; showers were powerful, clean and very hot. Staff upon arrival were lovely.
Site is kept in a lovely condition; I really couldn't fault it. Very happy and I'll be back soon.

Lovely staging post for North Wales
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Very clean, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful warden/staff. Highly recommended. Be grateful if they could order better weather for us next time though, lol!

Father and son camping
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 The campsite was very neat and tidy and the amenities were very clean and modern. The couple who were running it were very nice and helpful.
I think the only thing that could be improved would be the games area which has seen better days. Even taking this into account, I would still highly recommend this campsite. My son and I both enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely campsite!
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 A lovely campsite with plenty of space, checking in was easy and informative, staff were very friendly!
Little games area where we enjoyed a couple of games of pool. A nice field at the back to walk the dogs. Definitely visiting again this summer.

A little underwhelming VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Unfortunately, we did not have the best stay. We only stayed one night. The family next to us were noisy and inconsiderate.
I feel this site is best suited to families rather than couples. The part of the site we were pitched on was a little bit unkept. Other parts looked very well looked after.

The "unkept" area that you mention, is our wildflower meadow and will, in a few weeks, be filled with colour.
