Friendly campsite and friendly staff

Very nice and friendly, helpful staff, lovely camping site with nice views. There is a lot to do round the site: walking, bike-riding, and its not too far to get to the beach and to Tesco, the harbour and other places. Nice shop on campsite.

Loved it

The campsite was immaculate, the staff were extremely hard working. The location is great and the site itself felt safe and had a great atmosphere. We will 100% be going back soon.

Great

Not much into camping/campsites, so all a new experience. Stayed in a pod. Great facilities on site, pod had a heater and electricity, with table and chairs and a BBQ outside. Shower blocks as clean as you could expect for a communal site. Good mix on site of couples, families, groups of friends and hikers. A site for everyone. Definitely want to come back and have a longer stay.

Idyllic spot

My partner and I had a short but lovely stay at Tyn-yr-Onnen. It is down a track, so sounds of nature, plus the occasional distant toot from a regional steam engine, replace those of traffic. Facilities were spotless, with good, hot showers and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Llanberis is a short drive or hilly cycle away. We were there for the Snowdon Trail Marathon, but too tired afterwards for a planned excursion to Caernarfon. Fortunately, there is a pub close by (a 15 min walk) where we ate and drank perfectly well and (unfortunately) watched England lose the Euros final! Great place to stay.

We absolutely loved it! Great facilities, friendly staff, amazing views and lots of options to keep families entertained, whatever the weather is.

Lovely campsite with everything we needed

We had a lovely 2 nights stay here in June 2024. It was a good base for climbing Snowdon, 30 minutes drive to the Pyg Track. We arrived very late and the owners were brilliant at communicating with us and informing us where our pitch was. The pitch itself was great, we had electric hook up, the ground was flat. We were in field 1, a great location for the toilets and showers and utility room. The showers were clean and tidy, there were 2 shower blocks which was handy. There is a children's play park and a small shop onsite. There is a pub a 11 minute walk away. The food was good hearty food just what was needed after walking. A lovely site, would recommend x

Nice campsite, but noisy neighbours

Lovely little campsite, toilets and showers were nice and clean. The grass was a bit rocky so we struggled to get the pegs in but it was no drama, we got there in the end. Our tented neighbours were very noisy, not sure if the campsite has a 'no noise after a certain time policy' - maybe something to put in place. The location was lovely.

Great spot

Stayed here multiple times in the last 5 years. Very helpful staff and great location for hikes.

Lovely, relaxing campsite!

We spent a lovely 3 days here. The road in is a little bit narrow so large motorbikes may struggle, although there were plenty of caravans and some small motorhomes on the site (not sure if most of these are there permanently?) The site staff were very welcoming and friendly. There is a bus service at the end of the track to the site that will take you to the walking trails for Snowdon or to the coast. Would definitely recommend this campsite!

Excellent site

Excellent site, definitely will go back. Lovely location. Wi-Fi is an issue. There was a weak signal, but a lack of online access to services like listening to music and sending WhatsApp pictures - maybe charge for this service?

Lovely views, great for children

Lovely views. Great for children. Ours loved feeding the donkeys and the play park.

Very good

Very good site! Good choices of pitches and staff very approachable and helpful. The facilities were plentiful and clean. The little shop has everything you would need and the playground and animals offer good entertainment for families. Only a 10 minute drive out of the town (Caernarfon) and a lovely location to relax in.

Amazing site and stay

Absolutely fabulous stay, we loved it and we are looking to book again for August. The site is so well maintained, the facilities are so clean, lovely staff, and the donkeys are adorable. 10/10. We went to Aber Falls, stunning <3

Snowdon overnight camp

Access track was a bit bumpy, could do with resurfacing in places. Facilities were great, showers were hot and powerful. Close enough to Snowdon and 10 min walk from local pub.

Amazing host

The host was super helpful and kind. The showers were super clean, and really nice and hot / powerful!!! Just what I needed after a long day hiking on the mountains!

Great site for Snowdon

Excellent site with great facilities and only 15 minutes drive from Snowdon.

Lovely stay!

Arrived later than we planned and the owner called to make sure we were still en route and to reassure us that it was no problem. The owner was lovely! The showers were great too! Everything we needed for the one night. Thank you :)

Beautiful, little campsite in a perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay here despite the weather. We arrived with 4 other families and had a lovely large pitch out of the way. The facilities were great, with clean toilets and hot showers. The campsite has a small play park our children enjoyed. The location is perfect for little and big hikes, we did the Elephant Mountain and it was absolutely stunning. It is also close to a pub which serves good pub meals, we really enjoyed it. Also have to mention the staff who were very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10 for us. We will be back.

Excellent welcome and support

We only had a one night stay on this well equipped site in a hired VW camper. All facilities great and the welcome excellent. Unfortunately, we woke to a flat tyre. Big thanks to Darren who leapt into action to help change the wheel. Nothing too much trouble. Also recommended a local tyre fitter who would be able to sort the issue out without too much of a wait. This site is in a beautiful spot and well worth a longer stay.

Amazing family camp

We have just come back and it was amazing. Staff were so helpful, pitch was definitely large, not all large pitches are big enough for our tent. Fire pits to hire, spotless bathroom and cleaning facilities. Our 6 year old and 2 year old loved the play park and the animals there too. Lots of other families and dogs. Perfect location for hiking, railway trips, beach and so much more. We will definitely be returning! Excellent value for money too with fabulous views to top it all off.

Lovely site

Lovely little campsite and would definitely recommend. Only 2 minor issues. One being the road to the campsite is tight & bumpy and two, there's nothing in the village. The highlight was feeding the donkeys on site.

One night stay

Only stayed the 1 night, but the pitch was more than adequate. Location was great and everything was clean. Perfect if you are there to hike Snowdon.
