Motorhome - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great communication before arrival and warm welcome from Dave on site. Everything we needed less chemical toilet disposal and Wi-Fi but that was clear and not a problem.

Am pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do not advertise Wi-Fi as we can't get enough signal too provide it.
Our Elsan point is on the left side of the site and all you need to do is ask or phone me if you did not see it.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches May 2025 Simple, small family run campsite. It was quiet when I stayed, maybe 15 campers in total plus the glamping pods. No noise, very peaceful location.

Twin Axle Caravan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Feb 2025 Lovely little site, cheap and cheerful! Shame the weather wasn't the best, but I think it would be amazing in the summer.

Perfect location
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Dec 2024 Stayed for New Year's Eve, our first time at Southview. Check in was so easy, I booked a hardstanding electric hook-up pitch, which was a good size for my campervan.
It was a very well maintained site, with a modern shower/toilet block. A perfect location for some peace and quiet.

Great campsite, booked last minute and will be back
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Oct 2024 Booked last minute, Brian sent the code via text for the gate just in case we arrived and he wasn't there. We arrived just before 7pm.
Great pitches not too close together, hardstanding was fab for the campervan. Was quite windy so parked in the direction of the wind which died down during the night. Didn't need to use the shower on this occasion, but everything was clean and plenty of loo roll/handwash. Will definitely be back. The site is close to Stokesley and Roseberry topping, as we haven't done much of this area in terms of dog walks, we will be back when the weather is kind to explore a bit more.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Oct 2024 The site is in a great location for walking, cycling and visiting. It has easy access to the countryside and equally to the small sea side villages of the North Yorkshire Coast.
There is an abundance of wildlife and we saw, a hare, a stoat, a mole and a beautiful white owl, which made our stay very special. The site is well laid out and has been landscaped well. Plots are well laid out with generous spacing.
We were given a friendly welcome. Only downside was very basic waste and chemical disposal areas.
I am sure we will be here again.

I disagree with you about waste disposal as it works well so why mend it if not broken. I would be interested in your comments how we could improve the waste disposal next time you visit.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Lovely views if it had been a sunny day. Nice and peaceful, just a shame the hard standing was on a slope, which made it difficult to set the van level.
Having a 3pm check in meant most of the day was lost.

Sorry you didn't like our hardstandings, but to have them all totally level, there would have to be major groundworks done and that would spoil the character of the site when it is so easy to level accommodation up with wedges for campervans and motorhomes, and jacks for caravans.

Short break
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Very friendly and attentive staff greeted us and kept us feeling at home all of our stay. The facilities were excellent, probably the best shower I have ever experienced on a campsite.
The location was perfect for cycling and walking and site seeing. The only gripe I had was the smell of much spreading that wafted over from a nearby farm, but then this is the countryside so what did I expect?
Best to avoid weekends when it does get busy.

I am sorry I can't stop the farmers spreading muck but it does not happen much.
Even when we're busy, caravans are well spaced out.

Impromptu trip
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches May 2024 Excellent campsite, perfectly positioned for walking/cycling, nestled in some beautiful countryside and villages, and well within reach of Redcar, Saltburn, Whitby etc.
The campsite is very clean and tidy and it has some of the best showers we have used whilst away.
Definitely a must for walkers and outdoor types!

Fantastic little site
Motorhome - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches May 2024 Fantastic site with beautiful views, owners were very welcoming. Toilets and showers are one of the best, from our experience. Very peaceful setting with well spaced out pitches. It's a bit remote to walk to a pub or shop, but lots of walking routes in the area. Ideal if you have a car as lots places to visit not far from this location. The site was faultless, we will definitely be back again.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Great site, with good washing up, shower & toilet facilities, which were cleaned about three times a day and everyone was encouraged to 'leave the showers and toilets as you'd like to find them' - most people did this and it showed, which was great for everyone!
Unfortunately, the overnight lighting on site was very bright through the night, which may have been difficult for people camping in tents and it meant there was a lot of light pollution hindering late night star gazing!
Overall, a great place to stay with friendly staff - thank you, we would come again.

Very polite owner, very tidy place to stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding and Grass Pitches Aug 2023 This place is gated so very secure. There is a good walk for the dog and the shower was more powerful than mine at home! It is a very well maintained place. The owner is mindful about giving everyone space, so doesn’t cram people in. I’ll definitely go back.
