Motorhome - Standard Electric Pitches Jul 2025 Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Black Bull caravan holiday park.
The campsite was clean and tidy. Showers were modern and clean. Public service bus stop was near to entrance and buses ran on a regular basis.
It was a bonus to have a local pub nearby who served meals.
Newbies
Single Axle Caravan - Standard Electric Pitches Jun 2025 This was our first stay in a touring caravan. We have never owned one before. This site was lovely and quiet, compact and friendly. Nice pub, Black Bull, next door. Generous portions and very tasty.
We had some problems our caravan and Mark and his wife were very helpful. They came round again that evening in their own time to ask if everything was ok. Nice clean toilets, shower and facilities. You can see that all the employees take pride in their work.
The location is a 35 minute walk to Pickering and the NYM Railway.
Great camp
Motorhome - Super Serviced Electric Pitches Jun 2025 Our first time at this camp. Great location, bus stop outside camp.
Pub at entrance of camp. Meals excellent, drinks a bit expensive. Liked the location have booked to stay in August with our grandson. You can catch the bus to Flamingo Land, Eden Camp, Whitby etc. Very clean, there is also a dog walk. Staff very friendly and provide you with a lot of information.
Large pitches
Single Axle Caravan - Standard Electric Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely spacious site, with large private pitches, divided by hedges. Hard standing and grass on all pitches.
Facilities really clean and pretty dog walk area.
Easy to find straight off the A64.
Lovely pub at the entrance.
Would highly recommend.
Owner very nice and helpful
Motorhome - Super Serviced Electric Pitches Jun 2025 We were met by a friendly owner who was very helpful.
The pitches were good and all of the facilities were of a good standard, apart from showering in the top block. It was just about ok when I showered (water pressure) but when I took my young son for a shower, the water was barely dribbling out the whole time. Maybe it was just a bad time when water pressure was low, who knows.
The site was extremely quiet so good for couples, I would imagine, but it was a little too quiet for us, not that we wanted a party or anything but I don't know, I can't really explain it. We would more than likely return if we wanted to be close to Pickering and the moors. Overall, enjoyed our visit.

Well kept with spacious pitches with privacy bushes.
Local pub at the entrance to the site that does excellent food.
Last minute booking
Single Axle Caravan - Super Serviced Electric Pitches Jun 2025 First time staying here and it won't be our last. We took our 4 year old grand daughter and she loved it. She played in the play park and we did a round of crazy golf.
The site really well kept and the facilities are spotless. Not too far from Scarborough.
The pub next door is nothing to do with the site and doesn't offer any discount if you are staying on site, a missed opportunity there I think.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Pitches May 2025 First time we stopped on a touring site with campervan, what can I say the site staff were very friendly and helpful.
The site grounds and all the facilities absolutely spotless. Can't wait to revisit.

The bus stop is outside for buses to York, Scarborough Whitby Pickering Goathland etc.

Easter 25 at the Blackbull
Trailer Tent - Standard Electric Pitches May 2025 Just got home from a 3 night break at the Blackbull we had our daughter, partner and 12 month baby with us. Party of 5. Very friendly organised reception staff. Within minutes we were on our pitch and setting up very spacious and well laid out.
Kids play area not massive but good enough. Toilets, showers, and wash up area spotless. Distance to Whitby within easy reach. Lidl very nearby. Blackbull pub was good but worth crossing over and going down to Spencers bar and grill massive play area for kids. All in all great location, great facilities and good location for walking out for drink and food and not needing to take the car.

Motorhome - Super Serviced Electric Pitches May 2025 A clean and tidy site. All the facilities you could want. Fab games room, although we didn't use it, looked a perfect place for families to utilise. I'm disabled and the bus stops being straight outside the site was a massive plus for us.
A well kept site, fabulous facilities that were also well maintained. We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend at Black Bull. 2 days of sunshine and 2 days of rain, so fairly typical in the UK but the weather didn't dampen our spirits and we can highly recommend this site.
There's loads of positive reasons to choose this site. We will definitely be returning. There's loads of information leaflets and the staff are awesome for local knowledge etc.
Our first trip
Single Axle Caravan - Super Serviced Electric Pitches Apr 2025 Our first ever trip with our caravan and the site was perfect. Pickering is a beautiful location. Lots to see and do within close proximity. We are already planning to come back for the vintage steam rally.

Great size pitches and have your own privacy with the hedge. Highly recommend this site, we will return.

VW-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Pitches Apr 2025 Easy check in, staff all helpful and always good for a chat. Toilets and showers spotless. The site peaceful lovely walk into Pickering about 2 miles. Would highly recommend.
There's 2 pubs close by. We went into the closest near the sit. Not connected at all with the site. The food was excellent, staff not so as they wanted us out at 8 o'clock.
However, we will definitely return.
Cracking campsite

Immaculate toilets and shower area, even had a designated doggy walking section and doggy wash.
Pub excellent. Catered for gluten free which is a massive bonus. Little bit of road noise, but who cares, you can hear birds too.
Clean and tidy
VW-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Pitches Apr 2025 Positives - good sized, fairly private pitches, very clean washrooms, good facilities (even a visiting ice cream van!) and a lovely pub right next door.
Less positive - some road noise, dogs had to remain on lead in the dog walk (Pickering Dog Field for hire just a short walk up the road).
Overall, a very nice site that we would happily visit again.
Short weekend breakaway
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Super Serviced Electric Pitches Mar 2025 Great site, good location, just a 30 min walk into Pickering.
Dog walk a little disappointing, but there is a dog field just up the road you can rent for £5 for 30 mins. Dog had great time.
