Very peaceful site

Great location, lovely quiet site with clean facilities. Would visit again

Good stay at Valley View Camping

We stayed from Wednesday to Saturday and more or less had the site to ourselves for the first 2 nights. The pitches are flat, and relatively sheltered, which was good, because we had to pitch the tent in gusty weather and Friday night was very gusty too. The site has a path that leads directly to the cinder track. We had to ask other campers where the path was, so it could have been better signposted. We did a 13 mile walk to Robin Hood's Bay and back directly from the campsite, which was lovely. We really liked having the kitchen facilities, it was nice just to boil a kettle there rather than getting out the camping stove, and the fridge freezer was very useful. A bin in the kitchen would have been good, I had to put tea bags in the bin in the loo next-door. The toilets and showers were clean, and we didn't have to queue. Sinks in the shower cubicles could have been useful, but not really an issue. The site was pleasant and quiet.

Great site

Only complaint is that nobody met us. Signage could be bigger but we had a great stay and the facilities were very clean.

Hi, We operate a no reception campsite as we are not a big enough campsite to be sat waiting for everyone to turn up from 1pm until 8pm as we have other jobs to attend too, there is plenty of signs to instruct you on arrival and every pitch is signposted but we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Lovely, quiet campsite

A lovely quiet little campsite with very clean facilities. The kettle and fridge in the pot wash room are a brilliant touch. Staff are lovely and friendly. Being attached to the Cinder Track is great for walking - so many walks to Scarborough or Whitby without needing a car. Will definitely return!

Great stay

We had a great stay here for 2 nights. It was lovely and quiet even though the campsite was full over the bank holiday weekend and we had easy access to the Cleveland Way. There are new facilities since we were last here which are very nice. We did have to queue for toilets showers and especially the pot wash so this is why we gave 4 stars for facilities. An extra pot wash would make a big difference. Definitely would return.

Brilliant stay

Absolutely loved this site, lovely and clean facilities, lovely walks will definitely return.

Nice little campsite

Apart from the wind, I had a great stay here. Toilets nice and clean, showers too and they were amazingly hot. I went with a couple friends on motorbikes and they were accommodating. Great that they had a kettle and microwave, so we didn't need to take a stove for a brew/food. Definitely going to be visiting again.

Perfect stay with everything you need. Would be even better with an onsite shop.

Great stopover

I had an early breakfast to the sound of heavenly birdsong. Peaceful and enveloped me and set me up for the day. On a practical note, this is a new site and still maturing and all the essentials for touring site stop over are there; cleanliness, spaciousness and great amenities. I'd stay again. Thank you.

Peaceful and clean

We had a really nice time staying at Valley View. The campsite is small and peaceful. The pitches are a good size, and the amenities are clean and well-maintained. The location is great. Just a short walk away from both the coast path and the cinder track. We had a great day spotting seals at Ravenscar, not far north up the coast.

Good site

Friendly owner who it appears to be working hard to upgrade the site, brand new toilet and shower block.

Fabulous site!

Absolutely fantastic little site. Very friendly atmosphere, showers and toilets were spotless every time. A private footpath down to join the woodland path was great for morning walks. Well located as peaceful but a fabulous pub is 5 minutes away. If I had to give any other feedback, it would be a second kettle in the wash room would be good, but that's just me being a coffee fiend 🤣

A wonderful, peaceful site with views over farmland and the sea. The pitches were the perfect size and facilities great. Thank you.

All the basics are done well

We prefer simple sites so this suited us perfectly. Showers and toilets were clean, spacious, light, functional. Liked the addition of a kettle and microwave in the pot washing area. Owner was visible but discreet, only really saw him when he was cleaning facilities and he was friendly and chatty but just let us get on with our own thing. Site has been developed recently, so landscaping is still a work in progress, but will look nice when it's had a chance to grow a bit. Very quick access to cinder track and coastal path via a footpath through the site.
