Beautiful and small campsite

Overlooking field and gorgeous trees, very clean and tidy. Exactly what we wanted for a couple of nights. Plenty of space between too.

Great little site

What a gem of a site, it's small, which we like and has the essentials of EHU, water and Elsan point, but also provides information sheets in a box at the back of each pitch, which are really useful. It's a great location for exploring the surrounding area, which is beautiful and an easy walk into Kirbymoorside for shops to get essentials. A little road noise in the day but does not disturb you at night. Lots of birds, and we even had an owl fly overhead and across the field in front on our last evening. We will definitely return.

Such a lovely place to stay

I would highly recommend this lovely site, so calm and peaceful. Jayne is very welcoming and friendly and couldn't pick one fault throughout the whole weekend that we stayed. All in all a beautiful little farm to site up. We will certainly return, thank you!

Really great site, will definitely return

Jayne the owner is so lovely and the site is small with amazing views and sheep in front of the pitches. I will definitely return and we wished we could have stayed longer. Only 1 mile walk into the village which was a nice scenic stroll. There are lots of walks to do in the area. Lots of birds and wildlife to keep you entertained as well as owls on an evening. Will highly recommend!

As the name says

An excellent site location for all towns and villages around, also great for many good walks too. Jayne the owner is very helpful, from messaging you her site location information before you arrive, to meeting and greeting you upon arrival. The site has maps and local information at each pitch for knowledge of all required within the area. The pitches are well spaced and they also have fire pits available to use too. A very pet and family friendly site, with the nearest village only a 10 minute walk away, with 4 pubs, takeaways and local shops, everything you want. I will highly recommend and will be returning too 👍

Super small site

Small site. Run by very friendly owner. Decent space between pitches. Must have on board facilities, as there is no toilet block. Fresh water, grey waste disposal and Elsan disposal available. No drive-over grey disposal. Nice walk to Kirkbymoorside (pubs, shops etc.). Some daytime noise from road, but certainly not an issue. Lovely view of the sheep in the field. Overall, great experience.

Nice and peaceful

Lovely setting, excellent value for money. Short walk to the bus stop. Absolutely nothing negative, would definitely stay again.

Nice level site with good size pitches

Nice site, convenient for Kirkbymoorside, easy 1 mile walk. Hutton-le-hole 10 minutes drive up the road. Nice spacious pitches with views over field. Some road noise during the day, but quiet at night. There is a pig farm over the road where we got the occasional smell and some noise from the pigs, but we still enjoyed it there.

Weekend stay

Great little campsite for a quiet break, thoughtful owners with regards to the bags of logs and recycling options.

First rate!

I really don't know where to start! Ok, let's start with location. About 20 minutes walk outside Kirkbymoorside and in a beautiful location. There is a road behind the vans, but it is quiet at night. The pitches overlook a large paddock and a small beck at the bottom. Each pitch is hardstanding with a grave top layer. The road is the same. At each pitch is an electric supply with a meter. The first 15 kWh' s are free per day, more than enough. After that, 30p per kWh. Also at each pitch is a waterproof pouch with laminated maps to use as guides, please return after use. There are two water points on this six pitch site, one near the gate and one at pitch six the black waste point is near the gate and although not enclosed, it works perfectly fine. The recycling bins are clearly labelled for each type, but people still can't get it right sometimes. There are no toilets or showers, so you would need to be self contained. There is a bus stop on the A170 about ten minutes walk from the site. Buses to Pickering and Scarborough one way or Helmsley the other. But about the jewel in the crown of this site? Jayne! Quite simply, a great host. Knowledgeable about local walks and very keen to make sure your stay is perfect. We will definitely be back as soon as time allows.

Perfect location

Excellent site for a night or two stopover, on the edge of the Moors with beautiful walks. The local town is within walking distance, where you can get an awesome breakfast and lunch. Jayne is very friendly and helpful, she is knowledgeable and supplies info packs of everything around. I will definitely return and have already recommended to others.

Lovely site, a great location and good access

Lovely

A lovely little site. It has a field to walk the dogs which is great and a nice walk into Kirkbymoorside. The only downside was the very noisy pigs coming from a farm close by, but that won't stop us returning.

Brilliant stay!

Lovely little site, perfect location!

A great little site for using as a base to explore the Moors & beyond. Perfect for Dalby Forest (MTB, walking etc) with lovely villages & towns nearby. We will return!

Fantastic little find

Great location for walking. A short walk to the village Kirkbymoorside, nice pubs and shops and close to Pickering. Well organised site, recycling encouraged. No toilets or showers, but fine in a motorhome. Nice owner. Would recommend.

Relaxing

Jayne is the perfect host. Came to introduce herself on our first morning. Easy site to find. Meadow views and a very friendly squirrel 🐿️ visited regularly to collect his beech nuts. Will definitely use again.

Great little site

Good walks all around. Nice, big, mostly flat pitches. Very peaceful with friendly, helpful owners. Great site for walks around Kirkbymoorside. Little bit of road noise during the day but very peaceful at night. Spotlessly clean with great recycling. Fire pit if you want it. Would certainly recommend - friendly owners with good local info on walks and cycling trails, plus eateries.
