Medium Tent - Hardstanding Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2024 Friendly, welcoming and relaxing. Liked this small site, extremely well-located for visiting York. Great tent pitch with big skies. Lovely weather. Fun neighbours. Will be back!

Camping Pod - Camping Pods Jun 2024 Fantastic location only minutes from York City centre, Monks Cross shopping centre and good access to the surrounding area. Very well presented site with all you could need in terms of amenities. Very friendly service. Will definitely stay here again.
Amazing first stay at Wagtail Park
VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2024 On arrival we were greeted by Peter the owner who was lovely! He gave us all the information about the facilities on site and a discounted taxi number and showed to our pitch. The facilities were immaculately clean, the site presentation was beautiful. The whole experience was just perfect. Our first stay couldn't have been better and definitely won't be the last 😍

Camping Pod - Camping Pods Jun 2024 The site owner is very good at making you welcome and keeps the site very clean and beautiful.
The pod I stayed in was lovely, with thought having been given into their siting. The electric heater was a real bonus on a cold weekend in June.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 Had a great stay, good pitch size and toilets and showers clean. Fishing excellent, all decent size fish. Look forward to another visit.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2024 Wagtail was perfect for our weekend to visit York. Recommend using Park and Ride into York £5:50 2 Adults. The site was well maintained ,and the Showers and Toilets warm and Clean. Will definitely go back ,still so much of Yorkshire to see. Peter in very Helpful in his suggestions on local places too see.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Mar 2024 Excellent location, close to 2 lovely villages & pubs, and also close to the Park 'n' Ride into York.
First rate toilet & shower block, very clean, and lovely and warm. Very friendly and helpful site manager. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Will be back to make use of the lovely fishing lake.

Nice and warm camping pod
Camping Pod - Camping Pods Oct 2023 Stayed 1 night in the camping pod for the Yorkshire 10 mile race the next day.
Nice and warm heated pod, toilets/shower block nice and clean. The host Peter was nice and welcoming with useful information on how to find the campsite and also other local amenities.
Nice and handy location less than 5 mins drive to the Monk Cross shopping outlet where there are also several food places plus you can get the park & ride into city centre from there (which I didn't use on this occasion).

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Sep 2023 This was our first time in a campervan so, as you can imagine, we were a little apprehensive. Luckily for us, Peter at the site contacted us prior to our stay and was at hand via text. His communication was superb and made it easy for us. We arrived a little later than expected due to traffic🤦♂️ however, we were met by Peter.
The facilities we used were the washrooms, which were clean, and the showers, which were hot. I would recommend this site.

Nice, quiet site with great fishing
Motorhome - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 A very nice camping, caravanning and motorhome site.
Great facilities but no on site shop. No local bus routes. No pavements on a busy road to and from the site. Without a car it's £10+ each way to get anywhere. Expensive when your staying in a large motorhome and you don't fish, which my wife doesn't.
But a very quiet, chilled out sort of place.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 We stayed for a weekend at Wagtail and from the moment we arrived, we received a lovely, welcoming, and great service from Peter. From the spacious plots, and lovely grounds to walk the dog, to great fishing, everything was just what we needed. We will definitely be returning.

Small Tent - Hardstanding Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Fine location to visit York, shopping centre and restaurants.
When we arrived we got all the information we needed from the owner (I think). This was very helpful.
The pitch was large enough for the four of us. Enough space for our children (11 and 15) to play in the centre of the field.
There are not a lot of facilities on the campsite.
