About the site

This is a friendly and family run camping site first established in the 1950s. The site offers views of Lyme Bay, from Portland to Devon, as well as the rolling hills of West Dorset. The site offers non electric grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There are also a range of grass pitches with 10 amp electric for tents, caravans and campervans for those who still want to be able to use those essentials like a kettle! From the site, it is just a 500m walk to the South West Coast Path, with Portland Harbour just a 15 minute drive away too. The site also has its own farm walk, a two mile circular route, linking directly to the South West Coast Path. This takes you past the arable fields and grazing livestock, including a section along The Fleet Lagoon, which is a favourite with birdwatchers. Guests can bring along a gas or charcoal BBQ, as long as it is raised from the ground on places on bricks. Open fires are not permitted. Dogs are not permitted on the farm and campsite unless they are kept on a lead at all times, including on the farm walk. Please note, groups are strictly not allowed.

A note from the site themselves...

As farmers, the owners are very passionate about keeping sustainability and the environment at the heart of everything on the farm and park. For many years planting new trees and hedges around the camping parks and across the farm, using thousands of native trees and shrubs. Working hard, especially in the cold wet winter months, to manage and preserve the hedges, trees and woodland.

Since 2017, the farm has operated a solar array, which helps to meet the camping parks' and farm's requirements for electricity as well as supplying renewable energy back to the National Grid when solar production exceeds our local needs. The farm continues to strive to look after our environment, reduce our carbon footprint and do everything to be more green!

The farm is planting a Bird and Bee wildlife mix in a few places around the farm which we hope will enhance the wildlife!
