A note from the site themselves...

We're Joss and Steve and - along with our elderly rescue dog, Jake - we've recently taken over Brook Cottage Shepherds Huts, a place we fell in love with the very first time we visited. Situated at the end of a quiet lane, it felt like stepping into a slower, gentler pace of life, and we've never looked back!

As nature lovers, we're drawn to the deep stillness here - waking up to the birdsong at dawn, the calming green of the woodland, and the sense of space to breathe. We want to create a retreat where guests can pause, switch off from the world, and reconnect with what matters: themselves, each other, and nature.

The original owners crafted something truly special here: a place that honours the heritage of North Wales, with each of the five huts named after the wife and daughters of the famed Welsh Prince Llewellyn. Their thoughtful design reflects the soul of the magnificent Welsh landscape, and we're proud to carry that legacy forward.

We look forward to welcoming you to Brook Cottage soon.

From Joss, Steve and Jake the dog.

Shepherd's Hut - Susanna Ensuite Poacher's HutAug 2025

Beautiful little holiday. We received a lovely pre arrival message with a warm welcome and information needed for on the day. An absolutely beautiful shepherds hut, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and extremely clean. Everything is very well thought out for your ease & comfort, we had everything we could possibly need and more. On arrival, we had a small welcome package of milk, Welsh cakes and jams waiting for us. Just lovely. The site is quiet and located not far from supermarkets, restaurants and beaches with plenty things to do out and about, should you wish to explore the peninsula. We would highly recommend a stay here. The hosts are a lovely couple, very friendly and have good local knowledge. On departure, we were presented with a small gift bag of fruit for our journey home and a thank you postcard. Just perfect!
