Bwch yn Uchaf is set in the heart of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park and within a 30 minute walk of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), making it a great base for outdoor adventures. With almost no light pollution, the site offers some amazing starry night skies and you can pitch where you like, even next to the river! Little ones will love the play park, splashing in the River Twrch and the charming chug of Bala Lake Railway next door. Dog friendly too.

Although we didn't spend a huge amount of time onsite, we had a great experience when we did. The kids loved playing on the park and I pitched the tent in a spot nearby, so they were able to play while I set up and dismantled. The fenced off dog area was great, especially as it is next to the river, so the dog was able to cool off.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Went as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The site was a perfect base for exploring. We walked around some of the local area and also went to Bala Lake. The site was clean and the facilities were very nice with good showers. The stream was a nice addition to cool down with the hot weather! There was a lovely park area for younger children and a dog run, which was nice for the dog to be off lead and burn some energy. We would definitely go back.

Single Axle Caravan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2022

The site met all our expectations, had a few relaxed days which were definitely needed. Great flexibility in choosing your own pitch if not requiring electric hook-up, several different locations to select from. Site is suitable for everyone. Would highly recommend, intend to revisit in the near future.
