The Rivers Edge offers a relaxed holiday spot to suit families and solo travellers, ideally located on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park with miles of trails and scenic views all around. For tent campers, there are non electric grass pitches, whilst tourers have the option of electric grass or hardstanding pitches. An onsite pub serves tasty food and drink, and has a beer garden with a play area!

Great site and facilities. The staff were lovely and happy to help. The on site pub is fantastic with the most beautiful and yummy menu! We arrived Friday evening for 1 night and found out there was live music Saturday, the staff were amazing and made sure we could get a spot for the Saturday too. Beautiful location, we will definitely be back

Very loud private party in pub ruined stay

On arrival on Friday night, nice location, nice owners, clean and tidy, albeit a bit dated with push, low power showers, grubby grout. Can see new owners are ambitious to change this and we were pretty happy. However, unfortunately the weekend we booked (with a 2 year old) this small campsite was hosting a large private 70th birthday party in the (small) onsite pub. This went on from midday to 11:30pm and was very loud - both the live music and the large party of people. The toilets as a result were a state and full of drunk people most of the time and the children's play area was behind all this, so pretty undesirable to play on - too busy/noisy and felt like we were crashing a private party, which we were essentially by simply being there. I'm sure the event was fun for those in attendance but not appropriate to try and combine a large noisy pub event with small families and not warn them in advance. Obviously wouldn't have stayed if we'd have known - not why we go camping.

2 adults and a dog. Great facilities, didn't realise we'd been there before as name has changed. Onsite pub has been modernised with good choice of beers. Friendly owners and staff. Great walks for all abilities close by. Will definitely be back. 👏👏

Staff were lovely and happy to help. Location was perfect, nice walks and easy access to road network. Better suited towards tents rather then campervans. Toilets didn't seem to be cleaned once while we stayed for three nights.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Whilst the pitches are closer together than some sites we have visited, it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all and would definitely go back. The pub and park were really nice. One small complaint was that the water wasn't great in the showers, so not ideal if you were planning a longer stay.

We had a delightful stay, the proximity to the river is a real bonus. They were exceptionally welcoming on arrival and helpful when we needed. I'm going back to this site in 2 weeks with my children, which tells you everything you need to know really :)

A great little find

A great small site situated behind a nice pub in the village of Pandy. Great spot to visit the surrounding areas. The pitches are decent size and are making improvements with hard standings. There is some road noise and the trains start passing around 6am, but that didn't bother us. The owners were really helpful up and look forward to returning to see further improvements in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rivers Edge. Having a pub on site and with the oldest pub in Wales just 10mins walk away, we were well served. Facilities were good and kept clean. The only caveat I would make is that if this, site were very busy, there would not be much space between guests.

Since your stay, we have reduced the number of available pitches by a significant number, allowing both more space and also future plans to be implemented. We should add that all our pitches are either minimum required distance or much bigger than required, but it is ultimately a small operation with limited space, which we recognise. Although we would love more land and more space, we have to utilise what we currently have, so the reduction in number and restrictions on tent sizes and holiday home sizes will afford more space, we hope. Thanks again for your feedback and kind review.
