Lovely little campsite!

Lovely campsite on a beautiful spot. Facilities were spotless with great water pressure in the showers. Still some ways to go with providing the necessary facilities to accommodate the number of pitches, however, they seem to be in the process of rectifying this. I look forward to returning when the facilities are finished, which I'm sure will be in no time at all with the rate that it was going up at. Pub next door is a great bonus!

Beautiful site

This is a new site so some of the facilities are in progress but everything else is fantastic. The Inn is lovely, just finding it's feet but the mussels are gorgeous.

Scenic place to visit the southwest of Mull

Great campsite, scenic view over the Loch. The Inn just east of the campsite can very much be recommended. One suggestion for improvement: coat hooks above the wash basins and in the toilets would be quite useful.

Fabulous!

I loved this site. The views were phenomenal, the plots were level and well maintained and the shower block was regularly cleaned with powerful showers. What was great too was that there was a pub serving locally produced food next door and it was on the main bus route, which meant I didn't have to break camp and I could enjoy 3 trips to Iona stress free. Will have no hesitation staying here again if I return to Mull.

Great stay

We had an excellent 3-night stay. Facilities were just perfect for our needs. The Inn is also excellent and right next door!

Super site!

Set on the edge of a Loch, surrounded by mountains and with great facilities. Next door to a hotel/restaurant where we had a really tasty supper. Really easy to book and emails dealt with quickly. Unusual that everything is dealt with remotely, but it works well

Excellent base camp

The stay at Port nan Gael was brilliant! Arrival was so easy and simple. The facilities were very clean and the showers were always hot. The location is perfect for heading out towards Iona or to explore the north of the island. The dog and I had an absolutely brilliant time and will definitely be back. As a solo female traveller felt completely safe and comfortable, and everyone was so lovely to chat to. Even managed to see a gorgeous sunset from our pitch despite the days being rainy and windy.

Few facilities but beautifully remote location

Great location - outstanding in its remote & rugged beauty. Unfortunately it had very minimal facilities - showers, toilets and drinking water only. The toilets & showers were impeccable and toasty warm. No washing up or laundry facilities which was disappointing as a tent camper, no where to wash up or dry your wet clothes. No one to welcome you to the site, which is fine but would have preferred a welcome. There is a pub nearby (very close walking distance) but if you want to avoid the pub, my advice: make sure you're well supplied with food and drinks as the nearest decent store is a fair few miles away!

We are a modern contactless check-in site - if you are looking to be greeted on arrival there are plenty of campsites offering this on our lovely island. We have set up a system to match our fragile ferry systems which have arrivals at all hours. We would kindly ask that you review your rating to assess what facilities we did provide.

Fantastic site

Great site, highly recommend. They don't have pot wash at the moment but are getting it soon. Also have a baby bath and change table, which is such a help with a little one. Beautiful location and you can see otters from your van. Pub next door serving excellent food and drink. Definitely would return.

Beautiful, tranquil and clean!

Very peaceful and clean, not too many midges and food at local inn was good too. Definitely would stay here again for the tranquillity, beautiful views clean facilities and ease of use.

Very peaceful

Great location for a peaceful stay on Mull. Brand new campsite opened this year so unfortunately missing pot wash facilities. However, these are due to be installed in July.

Thank you for reviewing. Please know that we operate a contactless site with no reception and pride ourselves on this system. It is to facilitate ferry timetables and provide a seamless and peaceful arrival/departure. Pot wash has now been installed!

Great place!

Great campsite for a campervan. The facilities were spotless and the showered were fantastic! We had lovely sunset views over the hills also.
