About the site


Nestled in the heart of historic 1066 country, this idyllic glamping site sits on the bounds of a 460 acre woodland in East Sussex. The lush greenery surrounding you here is also ideally situated for trips to bustling London or for local days out at Battle. The site has six charming 5m bell tents each equipped with a double sofa bed and additional futons for extra guests, along with bedding and linen being provided. Outside you will also have a picnic bench and outdoor furniture, great for al fresco dining. Four camping pods also provide an ideal stay for couples. Each pod come with a comfy bed along with linen and bedding and also has its own outdoor area with a picnic bench. The site is set off the beaten track, providing plenty of privacy away from the bustle. There's no electricity, but the facilities onsite are eco-friendly. Campfires are welcome in the site's fire pits which are available to hire and logs are delivered to the site on a daily basis. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you, with up to two allowed in each unit.

Absolutely! Dogs are more than welcome onsite.

Campfires are allowed in the raised fire pits provided by the site, and logs are delivered on a daily basis.

Check-in is between 2pm and 8:30pm, please depart before 10am on your last day.


Things to do on site and in the Battle area

The glorious Sussex coast is just a 15 minute drive away. The beautiful St. Leonards On Sea Beach is dog friendly and its pebbled shore is perfect for sunbathing when the sun comes out. Rock-A-Nore enjoys a wide sandy shoreline with calm blue water, it is great for swimming.

To learn more about the area's history, a trip to the Battle Museum of Local History (5 minutes) is a must. Learn all about the famous 1066 battle, see the ancient artefacts and get an insight into the life of a Saxon.

For some family fun, a visit to Hastings Aquarium (25 minutes) is a must. See the exotic fish, learn about the deep sea in talks and feeds and look up as sharks swim above you in the underwater tunnel.
