Jean's Field is a family run, pop-up site ideally placed in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, ten minutes from Skipton. Pitch up your tent on one of the non electric grass pitches and explore the National Park's views or the the excellent pub, great café and farm shop close by. It's a short walk to Rylstone, home of the famous Calendar Girls, and local Grassington will be familiar to many as Darrowby in Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small.

Booked very last minute and the host accommodated and recognised our vehicle on a late arrival. Simple instructions and a quiet field. Pub and café in the village. Would recommend booking in advance for the pub as we tried twice on the day to no luck!
Site's response
Thanks for the review John, glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The pub can be booked up, especially on busy weekends such as when you came (Grassington 1940s weekend), in which case you are right in what you say, it is best to call in (or ahead) and book.

Perfect location and big enough pitch.

Thanks for the review. We don't like customers to feel crammed in even when busy. Welcome back anytime

Basically a field. It has an outdoor tap for water. 2 portaloos were well maintained and clean. A very good base to explore the surrounding area.

I found this pop-up site by chance, and so very glad I did. An uncrowded field with cold water and toilets (portoloos) kept scrupulously clean by Andrew, who visited the site every day and took the time to speak to every camper. My fellow campers were friendly and respectful in maintaining the integrity of a quiet family campsite. Fell walks from the door, with a pub a few minutes away. Good size pitch and a great base for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Exceptional value. Slightly irritated by a couple who didn't feel they needed to keep their dogs on a lead. Recommend if you are looking for a simple, quiet site to enjoy your surroundings with like minded people.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review, Wendy. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry that you were inconvenienced a little, but you are right; dogs should be on leads at all times, I am clear about this on my listing so please, keep your dogs on a lead! Wish you well on your future trips. Welcome back anytime!

Fabulous location, lovely and clean site. Very peaceful. Suitable for all. Andrew was very friendly and great to talk to. We would definitely return. Lovely pub next door, food was lovely and the staff too. Thank you 😊

Thanks for your review, Leanne. Fantastic to have some Cumbrian fell runners with us at the foot of the famous Cracoe - Rylstone skyline and the start of the Cracoe fell race itself! Have a great summer and 'good running' to you all this year.

I stayed here for 2 nights. It was lovely and peaceful. Only five miles from Malham and Janet's foss. There is a pub less than 5 mins walk, I can't comment on that as I did use it.The facilities are basic two toilets and a tap for water. It was very clean. I deliberately chose this site as I didn't want clubs and shops, just somewhere to relax.

Thanks for your review, Joyce. Good to have you stay with us and glad you enjoyed your stay. It's a great time to visit when the weather is less predictable because we are even more peaceful than usual. Enjoy the rest of the 'Summer' and thanks for coming.

Visited with a medium 4 person tent, lots of room to pitch. Friendly owner who even showed us around the nearby fells! Just a quick drive or bus to Skipton. Nice pub with beer garden a minute's walk away, same for tea rooms, good butcher for BBQ's, and small garden centre (just across the road). Easy to get to, but feels away from it all. Will visit again!

Thanks Rob. I do remember you and your family, one of my first customers. Yes, it is a late response but I've just discovered this reply facility. A snappy review, just what we are about. We're still here so you are always welcome! Have a great Summer.
