Clear filters spoiled by unsupervised dogs Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2025 Our stay was spoilt by two of the farm dogs using the ground in front of our tent as a toilet. The 1st instance I was able to follow the offending dog back to the owners, they worked on the farm. The owner came our and cleared up.
The second occasion the dog scurried off and was greeted by the man who ran the shop. He told me that the offending dog belonged to the owner of the site and farm he said the owner would not come out to clear up as he was old and it was in the evening. He said he would resolve it. He never did My wife managed to find the owner of the first dog who came and cleaned up. Many thanks to him.
The site rules state that dogs should be kept on a lead, why is the owner and staff exempt. Especially as there were many young children on the site..Dogs defecating and it not being cleaned up creates a serious hazard to children and is unpleasant for us all.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2025 Returning for the second year running with family friends.
We had 3 kids in the group last year and 5 this year. Facilities were brilliant. Site is clean and well looked after. Staff friendly and helpful.
We'll be back next year.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Great location, Great choice of pitches! Nice hot showers, Butty van on weekend mornings and Pizza Van on Fridays and Sat evenings. Birchover has 2 great pubs! Really nice spot and good walks over Stanton Moor! Really recommend!!
An EPIC campsite!
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2025 Mark and the team have been amazing. Barn farm is the best campsite in Derbyshire.
Impeccably clean, with lovely hot showers, it has a shop for all the basic things you need.
Its perfectly located with local pubs and amazing scenes like Luds Church a short drive away.
I would definitely stay again.
Great site in a great location
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 We went there in a very hot day and we were very pleased to find out that the pitch for our caravan was in the shade!
The size of the pitch was ample as well, so plenty space. Its a very nice and peaceful site and I can't wait to come back!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2025 Barn Farm campsite is definitely my favourite place for camping in Derbyshire. I'd visit again; the staff were friendly, the taps, showers and toilets weren't too far from the camping field, there were some lovely peacocks roaming the site, and there was a nice and easy 4.25 mile circular walk that went straight from the campsite up to some bronze age standing stones, and back again via a lovely pub.
I'll definitely be recommending barn farm for an easy, affordable short summer break.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jul 2025 We've been to Barn farm before but that was one of their excellent family weekends.
This was more relaxed in the family field in the shade of the morning trees. It's so clean and well looked after.
Our group had a great time. Were talking about going back next year.

Never fails to disappoint

Always an added improvement each visit, like shared access to garden games. Really clean facilities and well stocked shop. The visit from the ice cream van was a bonus.

Campsite shop reasonably priced and my son loved the peacocks, especially one he named George!
Short weekday stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jul 2025 Really nice site - clean facilities, helpful staff, and a great location close to local pubs and walking routes.
The only downside was the sauna, which we found out is only available to people staying in the cottages. Still, we had a lovely stay overall!
Great campsite for my needs
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Excellent campsite with very good facilities and peace & quiet assisted by fields being designated for different types of camping.
Great walk up to Stanton Moor and bronze age archaeological sites from back of camp site + 10 minute stroll into village if wanting a drink or meal at either of the two pubs; Druid Inn serves good food.

Amazing stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Amazing stay at Barn Farm - site and staff were exceptional and location was amazing to visit Stanton Moor, Rowtor Rocks areas.
We were a bit perplexed by the roads getting to the campsite but once we arrived - brilliant. Red Lion pub closed until Thursday and Druid Inn serves sarnies at lunchtimes but does close early at 5pm some days and 9pm other days. Not sure if in peak season these pubs open later or not - didn't bother us but a point to note.
So peaceful and a tranquil setting. Adult showers were fab!

The perfect break
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 This is was perfect for our needs. The host was excellent and all the facilities that we needed were there.
We had warning that there were kids doing their DofE awards however, we never heard a peep from them. There is some fabulous walks and the local pub had some great beer on tap. All in all, it was perfect for our needs.
