Clear filters Relaxing, quiet site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Feb 2025 We had a two night stay and were not disappointed. Friendly staff and a good bar and restaurant, with lovely food at reasonable prices.
We enjoyed local walks, ideally located for exploring the dark sky area.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Feb 2025 Stopped here for two nights whilst walking at Kielder Forest. I checked in a little early and the owner made me a coffee free of charge.
Shown to hook up facilities, all close by. A very quiet campsite with a big restaurant attached. I would stay again.

Twixmas break VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Dec 2024 Easy to locate, some walking direct from the site. Handy to have a bar restaurant on site which was open whilst we were there. Food good.
No-one met us on site, ever. We gave up looking for anyone and just picked a spot. Level standing with water and EHU. Narrow space and the surrounding grass was very wet and churned up.
The bar staff and cleaners were very friendly. The chef, not so much. Facilities clean although the water was tepid at best. No washing up facilities. Only spotted the chemical disposal point as we left. Other campers with dogs failed to pick up after them. Not a great way to start your day stepping out into that.
Really feel things which might have been addressed if only someone had popped to meet us or had a visible presence on the site. We left a day early.
Excellent campsite in the beautiful national park
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 A lovely peaceful campsite, wish we could have stayed longer. Stayed out of the main season, but they still provided meals in the bar, from an extensive menu. Delicious food.
The owner was very friendly and the showers were clean and recently refurbished by the look of it. It was a proper indoor building, not an outhouse! There was a lovely snug cosy bar with a fire, but plenty of outside seating available for warm evenings. It might be a bit "remote" for some, but if you want to get away from everything, I definitely recommend. It was good value for money too.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, professional people. The food was outstanding, fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend it, especially the Green Thai Curry.
Peaceful and a nice meal
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 Nice manager and staff, with very good and clean facilities. The bar and restaurant was a bonus. It was out of season, but I was struck with how peaceful the evening was.
I had one gripe about the WIFI being only in the bar and not out to the pitch. The owner came round in the morning and explained that they had mentioned this in the details. I had only looked at the facilities summary.
In conclusion, recommended.
