About the site


The surf is pumping every day, and the campsite is just metres from the shoreline. You can wake to the sound of the waves and be catching them within minutes. Guests can choose from camping pitches or luxury safari tent glamping. The café is open from post 'dawn patrol' breakfasts, right the way through the day, until the last bite of pizza after a 'sunset session' in the evening. Kids can also play in the fantastic park, whilst adults shop in the surf shop, selling surfboards, equipment, clothes, gifts and more.

Camp at The Wave's season normally runs from July until August. Sign up to alerts and we'll let you know when bookings re-open.

Safari tent facilities include a private toilet and a fully equipped kitchen area including two ring hob, sink, fridge, kettle, plus cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. Shower block onsite nearby. EV chargers are available in the main car park.

The Clubhouse cafe onsite opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner using the best ingredients from local suppliers, including Buxton Butchers and Clifton Coffee - it's also the home of a surf shop and roof terrace! There are a number of superb pop-up food stalls here too.

Safari tents kitted out with a double bed, two bunk beds (suitable for adults or children), and sofa bed. Inside private toilet, kitchenette with wood burning stove and balcony. Purpose-built shower facilities nearby, please bring your own towels.

2 x Accessible Safari Tents

Max 6 people

Accessible safari tents are DDA compliant, with a double bed, two single beds (suitable for adults or children), and sofa bed. A larger private toilet, adapted kitchenette and balcony. Purpose-built shower facilities nearby, please bring your own towels.


The site is pet free.

BBQs and fires are not permitted.

WiFi is available in every safari tent.

Please keep talking and music at a level which will not disturb your neighbours.

Accommodation bookings do not include surf sessions.

Bustling Bristol is a short distance from the site and is a hub of culture, complete with Millennium Square, the Arnolfini art gallery, cinema as well as an abundance of shops lining its waterfront - also great for a paddleboarding session!

Alternatively, soak up the Georgian history at Clifton village and make time to take in the stunning views from the suspension bridge or make a purchase in one of many independent stores here.
