Escape to Nature in the Heart of the Shropshire Hills Tucked away in the stunning Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our eco-friendly, off-grid campsite offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Powered entirely by a large solar system, it's a sanctuary for nature lovers, families, bird-watchers, and stargazers alike. Hidden behind tranquil woodland and far from busy roads, the campsite sits within a designated Dark Skies Area—perfect for peaceful nights under the stars. Despite being off-grid, you'll enjoy the comfort of clean, modern showers and toilet facilities throughout your stay. Open fields offer sweeping views across the Shropshire Hills and the distant plain beyond. Wildlife is part of the experience here—you might spot deer at dawn and dusk, or watch buzzards, kestrels, red kites, and owls soaring above throughout the day. We welcome campervans, tents, trailer tents, roof tents, and motorhomes (up to 7m, no twin axles), with a choice of grass or all-weather hardstanding pitches. For those seeking extra privacy, we also offer a sheltered field reserved just for tents. Each pitch has access to green energy hook-up from our solar system, and free WiFi is available site-wide. To keep the atmosphere quiet and relaxing, we limit the number of campers. Tent campers can easily unload at their pitch before parking nearby to help preserve the peaceful setting. Gather around the communal fire pit, BBQ, or pizza oven—free to use and ideal for sharing stories under the stars. Firewood is available at reception, and private fire pits, BBQs, and pizza ovens can also be hired. A covered pod with a free phone-charging point is perfect for those staying in smaller tents during less-than-sunny weather. Fancy an adventure? Hire a canoe from James, your friendly Camp Host, and paddle along the River Severn through scenic spots like Attingham Park and River Tern. Looking to host a special event? The entire site is available for exclusive hire—perfect for private functions, parties, or filming. To ensure a safe and relaxed environment for families, our site is proudly dog-free.
