About the site

A picturesque spot with a peaceful atmosphere on a cliff-top location boasting panoramic sea views across Blackpool Sands, a 15 minute walk away The site is ideally situated to enjoy long coastal walks and taking in the stunning surrounding countryside. The onsite Italian restaurant serves a delicious menu of freshly prepared dishes, including handmade pizzas, available to enjoy in the restaurant or as a takeaway back to your pitch. Bring along your tent and choose from electric grass tent pitches for tents up to 7.5m x 7.5m, or opt for the electric touring pitches for roof tents. All electric is 16 amp. For a cosier alternative, there are two furnished bell tents, accommodating up to two people. These are equipped with a cosy double bed and two single futons for up to two children. Bedding and towels included. With electric hook up, bedside tables with lamps, indoor and outdoor seating. Or, opt for the luxury 'Enid's Place' yurt set in its own private garden. It's furnished with a spacious king-size bed (bedding and towels provided), an equipped kitchenette with cutlery, crockery, a kettle, stove, fridge/freezer, as well as a private bathroom area with a toilet and shower. Outside, enjoy a fire pit, BBQ, veranda, and hot tub for a night under stars! There are also lodges, cottages and holiday homes onsite too. Blackpool Sands and Dartmouth are both within easy reach, just a 20 minute walk away, and make for great days out exploring and relaxing on the local beaches. Please note that vehicles are not allowed on the camping field. The site is unable to provide cables for electric pitches. Sorry, dogs are not permitted onsite. Due to the setting of the park, some walkways may be steep/hilly.

The restaurant serves fresh food, handmade pizzas and benefits from a licensed bar, too. An onsite shop/cafe stocks all the essentials, plus a few treats.

For your nearest supermarket, head just ten minutes into Dartmouth and you'll find a Sainsbury's and Lidl. There are also many pubs, many of which are located by the water, such as Bushell's Riverside and The Royal Castle.

Beautiful setting. Friendly owners. Women's shower/toilets have two plug sockets so you can use a hairdryer/charge your phone. Great data coverage - no need for the Wi-Fi code but that's great too. Shop on site has everything you need - even chapstick! Loads of leaflets and info at reception. Green Dragon pub 5 minute walk - vegan options when you ask. Two washing up sinks, small fridge and small freezer for freezing blocks. Plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. Breath-taking views. 15 min walk downhill to beautiful Blackpool Sands beach.

Leonards Cove is a small, family run holiday village with a strong sense of community and focus on reducing their carbon footprint. When you stay, you can enjoy Leonards Cove's fresh water from their own supply, installed in late 2021. Wherever possible, electric vehicles, tractors and tools are used and the on-site restaurant use local, sustainable produce in every meal.

Throughout the year, Leonards Cove participate in community run projects and sponsor many of Stoke Fleming's facilities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Things to do on site and in the Dartmouth area

A nice 20 minute saunter will lead you to the fun of Blackpool Sands, which is a sheltered bay, nicely suited to water sports and home to a nice beach cafe. Throughout the year, Dartmouth and surrounding towns are bustling with markets, food festivals and the popular Royal Dartmouth Regatta.

Pop the whole family in the car, and you can rev off to Dartmouth, and be there exploring its pretty steam train in just a few minutes. Have a peek at the castle and watch the gentle waters of the Dart Estuary. Woodlands Family Theme Park (15 minutes) will draw your kids magnetically - and it's sure not to disappoint!
