About The Forest Pod
This peaceful countryside pod is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park and is the perfect base to spot wildlife and take in the woodland. Sit back and relax at your private pod or explore Macclesfield Forest on one of its many cycling and walking routes. The site offers just one glamping pod sleeping up to two, equipped with a double sofa bed. This relaxing and peaceful accommodation is equipped with a living and sleeping area, a kitchenette and a separate ensuite including a shower and a toilet. There is also an outside area with a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining in the evening. Being next door to a charming pub, you can enjoy a delicious dinner with an easy journey back to the comfort of your bed. Macclesfield Town is also just a ten minute drive away, which has great shops and restaurants on offer. Four-legged friends are welcome in the pod, with great dog walks and woodlands for them to enjoy.
The Forest Pod is open all year round.
Facilities include a shower and a toilet. There is also a kitchen with a sink, oven and hob.
The Leather's Smithy pub is a one minute walk from the pod, which sells a great variety of delicious food (lunch and dinner) and drinks. There is a Co-op a ten minute drive from the site for picking up any essentials.

Arrived to find the owners at the pod. They were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was exactly as described and had everything needed for a short break. The area is superb and so accessible for walking and our dog loved the enclosure surrounding the pod. My husband and I would recommend this to anyone. Could not believe how much we enjoyed it and extend our heartfelt thanks to Jo and John. We will definitely be back.

Visited this pod in October '23. The pod was very cute and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. A basket of goodies was a really lovely gesture, it included bread bakery items, coffee, tea, biscuits and the fridge had milk and juice inside. The views from the pod were amazing, even had horses in the field. The area was very remote, just a pub that served amazing food. There were also plenty of walking paths through the forest. Would definitely go again, perhaps in the summer - a lovely place.

We stayed in the pod for 2 nights and it was absolutely amazing. Beautiful location with routes for lovely scenic hikes. The pub across the road is lovely for drinks and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back again! Thank you to the hosts. Would 100% recommend!

Things to do on site and in the Macclesfield area
On your doorstep are great walking and hiking routes. Walk the circular route of the Ridgegate Reservoir or explore Macclesfield Forest, a great spot for dogs too!
Just ten minutes away is the town of Macclesfield, rich in history and architecture. Visit the Macclesfield Silk Museum, have a mooch around the shops or try the local market
Also, just 30 minutes from the site is Jodrell Bank Observatory, which is great if you are into science. See the mighty radio telescopes, attend one of the fascinating talks or even have a stroll around the 35 acres Jodrell Bank Arboretum.
