Bank holiday week

Charming site and welcoming hosts. A working small holding with animals in adjacent pens. Lovely for children of all ages to experience and was nice to see host taking children round when he was feeding. Only one male and one female shower, so if site were at capacity that would be insufficient. Only one flush loo too but compost toilets in the camping field. We were on the hard standing area close to the facilities and site was not full so all worked ok for us. Overall, a lovely, quiet if slightly quirky but charming site. Recommended.

Fabulous site

Fabulous site, great for children and adults that like animals. A lovely site in a beautiful setting, the owners have worked hard to create an interesting site with plenty of interest for children.

Lovely small quiet site

Small site on a small holding. Friendly welcome and all the amenities you need. Nice seating by the river for a relaxing glass of wine!

Great little spot

Great facilities and well thought out. Love the eco-friendly vibe of the facilities as well. Really friendly welcome and happy to help out. We loved our stay in the "Lotus" glamping tent, all we said was that we wished we stayed for longer.

Lovely owners, noisy site

The owners, Claire and Justin, are extremely friendly and accommodating and the small holding animals are very cute - goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. There's also a small lake and access to the river for paddling. But, if you're looking for peace and quiet in the countryside this site is not for you due to the close proximity to a noisy road which is a shame. Great spot for exploring the mid-Devon area though, including two woods and a motte and bailey castle close by.

Very quiet stay

Very nice site at a reasonable price. Our dog loved it, with a small walk around the pond and the tent camping field by the river. Will go again if we are that way.

Awesome stay

This was the best stay! The owners were really friendly too. The accommodation was just as expected, it was basic, but perfect ☺️ The pigs were my favourite, they were so friendly , the goose became our best friend by the end of the stay 👍

BH weekend

Lovely eco campsite, we had a really enjoyable stay. Lots of space for children to play, lovely small holding with goats pigs and chickens. Good size EH pitches. Private river access for paddling and swimming. Helpful and friendly owners small honesty shop for essentials. Wonderful star gazing skies. Would recommend to others.

Amazing campsite

Lovely campsite with friendly owner. Attention to detail throughout and felt very welcome and relaxed on our visit. Good information of local area given and facilities were well managed and clean.

Chilled campsite in beautiful countryside

Lovely site, owned by lovely people. You can walk to a pub, small farm shop and café along the A377. Unfortunately, the pub was closed for a wedding, but we managed to get a great breakfast at the nearby café. Access to the river is a bit of fun and the animals are entertaining. Facilities are basic but spotlessly clean. I would have liked there to be a sink next to the toilets, that would be my only criticism. There are a couple of sinks near the entrance where you can wash dishes and wash your hands, but the toilets are in the next field.

Lovely peaceful site by the river

I spent a very pleasant few days camping at Lakemoor. It's in a lovely peaceful location by the River Taw. It's a great location in mid Devon from which to explore all over Devon. I stayed mid-week outside of the school holidays and was lucky to have the whole of the tent field to myself, but I'm sure there would be plenty of room even at capacity. I would be happy to recommend and to go again.
