Stunning views of Dartmoor, and a sheltered site beside the River Tavy
Set beside the River Tavy, there are copses of mature trees within the camping fields and lovely views of Dartmoor and the adjacent farmland. It's a tranquil and traditional campsite where you'll enjoy a peaceful night's sleep and the dawn chorus as your alarm clock. The site offers a variety of spacious pitches, suitable for both tents and tourers. Each pitch allows up to six guests, some also with a 16 amp electric hook up or fully serviced with electric, grey waste, water and a TV aerial connection. Pitch up by the riverside or under the shelter of the trees, great on those sunny days. For those searching for some extra luxury, opt for one of the glamping units. The Jubilee shepherd's hut sleeps up to two, kitted out with a double bed, table and chairs, plus a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy. For cooking, there is a fridge, kettle, toaster and a wicker hamper containing cutlery, tableware and drinking glasses. Outside, you will also find a 'field kitchen' which is perfect for al fresco evenings, comprised of an induction hob, water tap, pots, pans and a fire pit with a BBQ grill. Shared facilities can also be found nearby. Two ensuite pods, Drake and Bedford, also sleep up to two. Inside you will find a fold-away double sofa bed, plus a kitchen, lounge with TV and a shower room. The two Escape Pods +2 also feature a bunk bed for two kids. Evenings can be spent cooking up a BBQ or toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, as long as it is raised from the ground. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three allowed per pitch.
Harford Bridge Park is open from 15/03 to 03/11.
