About the site

Set across ten acres of pasture and surrounded by 20 acres of lakes and woodland, explore the South Shropshire Hills from this rustic site. The site has 60 grass pitches set by the three lakes for tents without electric, with views across the brooks. Set in the meadow are 30 pitches grass tent pitches and a further 50 wild camping pitches can be found in the woodland. There is also a heated lake side log cabin with a bunk bed and double sofa bed. Please note, bedding is not provided so please bring your own. Outside the cabin is a seating area with a fire pit for the evenings. Guests have access to the shared facilities. Keeping with the nature of the site, there are no bright lights or discos - and no music after 10pm (a strict rule!). Wild swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding are all available onsite, and fishing is also available across the three stocked lakes. You enter the site via an old dismantled railway track, then drop down the embankment into the car park, before the campsite opens up to the view of the Wenlock Edge. Campfires are encouraged with wood available on site (depending on weather and ground conditions) and fire pits for hire. Large groups/stag and hen parties welcome but groups of more than 20 people must be agreed prior to booking.
