Good, clean site with friendly/helpful staff and good access to the 3 peaks

Booked last minute and arrived early evening but was still greeted at reception. Great service, gave me all the information I needed and was friendly with it. Free fire pit was brought to my pitch for me. I bought some logs, even though I'd brought my own (not pressured to buy). Again, friendly staff member who was more than helpful and happy to chat and advise me about my planned sunrise walk the next day up Pen Y Ghent. Great location for the nearby peaks, well stocked shop, very clean and modern facilities and lovely staff. I will definitely be booking again 😊

First class weekend stay

Upon our arrival on Friday the 1st of September, we were greeted in the reception by a wonderful lady. I was given a very well detailed map of our pitch and the site facilities. We stayed Friday - Sunday on a large electric pitch and we can all say it was great. The facilities are exceptionally clean, with plenty of them to be used and very modern. Showers cost 50p for 10 minutes. We went across the road to the little stream, where our two children loved splashing and seeing all the wildlife. The only downside for us was the site got packed fast with lots of happy campers and we did not have a lot of space to play with the frisbees, it would be great for a little more playing space to be able to do this away from all the other campers. On Saturday night, we had the most amazing pizzas and chips that are made on site. You pay in advance and get given/choose a time slot. When it's your time, you simply go to the side window to let the staff know you have arrived and collect your food. Between 5 and 7 pm, a lovely man comes around on his quad delivering wood and fire pits for anyone who wishes to purchase. The price is now £8 per bag of logs and £8 per kindling, the fire pits are free to use. We will absolutely be visiting again - wonderful site and amazing staff. Thank you.

3 night stay at Orcaber

We took our 3 grandchildren (age 6 to 15) for a long weekend stay with the main aim being to try out a big five man tent, plus awning, that we had bought a while ago. We wanted to see if it was suitable for a long camping trip abroad. The site is extremely clean & the toilet/shower blocks are immaculate. We loved the free log burners where you can buy logs at a very reasonable rate & then sit around it during the evening, the kids loved roasting marshmallows! The electric pitches are a very generous size with plenty of room for tents & cars. We loved our stay & will be back!

Excellent

Really enjoyed our stay here. Owners were really friendly. Chilled, family friendly atmosphere. Not strict about tent/ pitch size, we could choose where we went on the field. Good facilities, very clean. Lots of hot water. The radio plays in the toilet shower block, which is a nice touch. It surprisingly had high quality loo roll, which I've never come across camping before and was much appreciated. Very good value for money. Lovely views. Lots of dogs and an easy dog walk from the site that was well signposted. Again, very clean. Tuck shop on site, which was stocked up. Lots of picnic benches so every group could have one in their tent area. All in all, couldn't fault it.

Camping

This is a beautiful site that is well maintained and looked after. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is dog friendly, with an exercise field where you let them run off lead, and the service with the fire pit is brilliant, fetching them to your doors. The shower block and toilets are also very clean.

Lovely stay

Stayed for 3 nights in a pod. We very much enjoyed our stay and simply cannot recommend enough. Everything was clean and well organised, the toilets were spotless. The dog wash was a lovely add on to have and we definitely got use out of it. We will definitely be returning!

Great campsite

Bad weather did not detract staying at this lovely site. A great, flat field, really good facilities and an amazing location for lots of things (we walked the 3 peaks). Settle was such a cool place, the flowerpot festival was on. We'd definitely be back & highly recommend.

Amazing campsite

Amazing stay from start to finish, facilities are amazing and staff are friendly and very very accommodating. I've been camping for quite a number of years now and this is one of the best camp sites I've stayed at. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect

Stunning views and a great location for exploring the many nearby caves and waterfalls. The pod had electric plugs and USB sockets, an electric heater, decked area, picnic table and driveway. The toilets and showers were of a high standard and were impeccably clean throughout the duration of our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were delighted with the dog exercise field and the well signposted river walk was lovely. Highly recommend!

Excellent Happy Camping Trip

First time at this camp site,. Had a lovely stay excellent service provided, free fire pit, with your booking for you to use while you stay bonus. Logs are £8 so there's no need to take them with you, Great value as the bags are very generous .daily, there's a lovely man who rides round at tea-time on his tractor so you can purchase more. Great place for dogs and a free place to wash off your dog with hot/cold water. this was very helpful, also the exercise field provides a great place for your dogs to run about in. The site is very clean and very friendly. Lovely walks from the camp site. My grandchildren enjoyed playing in the stream. Would absolutely recommend this camp site. We enjoyed the pizza service on Saturday order and pick up at your selected time. We will definitely be booking again this year.. They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.

Perfect!

Stayed 1 night here and this is probably the nicest campsite we have stayed at! Facilities all look like they have just been built and are spotlessly clean. Grounds are very well maintained. The guy who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, best showers ever!!

Had a great stay here. Great location for lovely walks and pretty villages. Check in/ out simple. Great communication. Toilets/ shower blocks immaculate...loved the under floor heating and piped music!!!! Thank you. Would stay again.

Lovely site

This was our first visit but hopefully, we will return. It is a lovely clean site with large flat pitches. The toilet and showers were immaculate and modern. The small shop sold essentials and we enjoyed the "Saturday Night Pizzas". The location is great for walking and near to the town of Settle. The site is very dog friendly with an exercise field and dog walk by the river. Unfortunately, the weather was unkind to us but nobody could do anything about that!

Harley Biker stop

Found this little gem of a site for a one night stopover. My mate and I arrived after booking online the night before and were met by a very pleasant welcome from the lady in reception. She was more than accommodating as she shuffled our pitch nearer to the toilets and amenities, as my friend requested. What a great, clean and well-kept site with beautiful views and cracking pitches for tents with electric hook up if needed. If you need extra warmth, a fire pit is offered and brought to you for a small fee. This is fantastic. The toilets were cleaner than most restaurants, absolutely spotless with showers and dishwashing facilities along the side of the block. Also a small shop with essential items, at very reasonable prices and served with a lovely smile and greet. This site is fantastic for a short or lengthy stay close to Settle, Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale and there is a straight road over to the Lake District via the A65. Can't wait for next year and hopefully good weather. This will be our first camp of the year, probably one of a few. Thanks again for making our trip memorable. A pair of Harley Brothers...
