A note from the site themselves...

Our family run site is a wonderfully relaxing location for campers. We are located in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with the famous three peaks in easy reach.

We take great pride in our site, ensuring it's never too busy so everyone can have some peace and quiet. There is also plenty of space for kids, or even adults, to play and run around, one of the best things about camping!

Small Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesSep 2023

Booked last minute and arrived early evening but was still greeted at reception. Great service, gave me all the information I needed and was friendly with it. Free fire pit was brought to my pitch for me. I bought some logs, even though I'd brought my own (not pressured to buy). Again, friendly staff member who was more than helpful and happy to chat and advise me about my planned sunrise walk the next day up Pen Y Ghent. Great location for the nearby peaks, well stocked shop, very clean and modern facilities and lovely staff. I will definitely be booking again 😊

Site's response

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesSep 2023

Upon our arrival on Friday the 1st of September, we were greeted in the reception by a wonderful lady. I was given a very well detailed map of our pitch and the site facilities. We stayed Friday - Sunday on a large electric pitch and we can all say it was great. The facilities are exceptionally clean, with plenty of them to be used and very modern. Showers cost 50p for 10 minutes. We went across the road to the little stream, where our two children loved splashing and seeing all the wildlife. The only downside for us was the site got packed fast with lots of happy campers and we did not have a lot of space to play with the frisbees, it would be great for a little more playing space to be able to do this away from all the other campers. On Saturday night, we had the most amazing pizzas and chips that are made on site. You pay in advance and get given/choose a time slot. When it's your time, you simply go to the side window to let the staff know you have arrived and collect your food. Between 5 and 7 pm, a lovely man comes around on his quad delivering wood and fire pits for anyone who wishes to purchase. The price is now £8 per bag of logs and £8 per kindling, the fire pits are free to use. We will absolutely be visiting again - wonderful site and amazing staff. Thank you.

Site's response

Thank you so much for your very informative review, Emma. We are really pleased you enjoyed your weekend and all the facilities and surrounding area, We are in the process of looking into a play park also where you could play with the frisbees! We are particularly made up that you found our staff to be great, we pride ourselves on our customer service so that was great to hear. I will let our amazing staff know!. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Many thanks, Team Orcaber.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

We took our 3 grandchildren (age 6 to 15) for a long weekend stay with the main aim being to try out a big five man tent, plus awning, that we had bought a while ago. We wanted to see if it was suitable for a long camping trip abroad. The site is extremely clean & the toilet/shower blocks are immaculate. We loved the free log burners where you can buy logs at a very reasonable rate & then sit around it during the evening, the kids loved roasting marshmallows! The electric pitches are a very generous size with plenty of room for tents & cars. We loved our stay & will be back!

Site's response

Thank you Mr/Mrs Melvin, so glad Orcaber provided the ideal place to try out your tent. We are glad you liked our site and found the facilities clean. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Team Orcaber.
