About the site

This family friendly site is well positioned being only five minutes from the historic town of Faversham with its abundance of quirky shops, quayside stalls, cafes, pubs and estuary walks. Its idyllic location on The Kent Downs makes it a great base for nature lovers. There are 16 non electric grass pitches and 30 electric grass pitches for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes to choose from, with 16 amp electric hook ups. Only 20 minutes from Canterbury with its elegant cathedral and 20 minutes along the coast to Whitstable, this is a lovely choice for both countryside and coast-loving holiday makers. Fire pits are available to hire on site, and BBQs are permitted, as long as they are raised off the ground. Dogs are allowed on site, just please keep them on the lead and clean up after them.

Can not fault our stay . Clean facilities consisting of showers,toilets,outside and inside sinks plus washing machine and tumble dryer. Particular thanks to the site manager Karen. Who was helpful and friendly . The onsite shop offers some basics which we found helpful , particularly the gas can we purchased for cooking and the logs for the firepit. They offer electric hook up we opt for non electric. We enjoyed listening to the birds and even saw a squirrel pop out of the hedgerow One minute walk up the road is a lovely gastro pub called The Alma , we enjoyed lunch and dinner in . Which also was friendly . . Definitely will be returning to Painters Farm in the future .

A beautiful spot to camp. Really quiet and peaceful. The facilities are spotless. It has a small shop and are staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a brilliant pub just 2 mins from the campsite along a quiet country lane. Definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be going back to visit there.
