About the site
A family friendly camping, touring and glamping site off the beaten track, set in the idyllic Lake District National Park with views over the mountains. There are a total of just nine grass pitches, five of which include electric hook up. A maximum of six people are allowed per pitch in tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. There is also an unfurnished pod available if you don't want to bring your own unit, sleeping up to four people. The camping pod also has a 10 amp electric hook up. The site also has three glamping cabins for something a little more luxurious. Sleeping up to five guests, the pods are equipped with a double bedroom and triple bedroom with a double and single bunk bed, all with bedding provided (please just bring your own towels). Inside you will have a lovely open-plan living area with a lounge enjoying panoramic views, a TV, fully equipped kitchenette complete with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The units also come with a shower room and are fully insulated with heating and an electric wood-burner, perfect for those chillier months! Outside, you will also have your own al fresco dining area with a picnic bench, fire pit and BBQ, great for making the most of the warm summer evenings There is an abundance of wildlife, as well as the site's own friendly donkeys and sheep who guests are welcome to meet and feed carrots too! You can walk all around the fields and directly into Parkgate Wood where there are many walks along the forestry tracks but also little secret paths through the forest. Dogs are welcome onsite just please keep them on the lead and away from the friendly donkeys. Campfires and BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised off the grass. The site also offers a range of holiday cottages and static caravans.

What time is check-in and check out at Parkgate Farm Holidays?
Check-in at Parkgate Farm Holidays is available from 2pm until 8pm for camping, touring and pods. Self check-in is available from 4pm for cabins. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Departure is due before 11am on your last day for pitches and pods. For the cabins, departure is 10am.
Is Parkgate Farm Holidays dog-friendly?
Yes! Dogs are more than welcome at Parkgate Farm Holidays, with up to two allowed on each pitch and in the pod. Please keep dogs on the lead at all times and supervised. Assistance dogs are permitted for no additional charge, but you must notify the site at the time of booking.

BBQs and open fires are allowed at Parkgate Farm Holidays if it is placed outside and raised off the ground. Due to fire risk, disposable BBQs are not permitted. Coals, firewood, S'Mores packs, which include marshmallows, chocolate digestives, and skewers, are available for purchase.
