Great little site, just off M6. Owner was really helpful and friendly. Some pitches are on a slope, so you need blocks for the motorhome.
Site's response
Thank you Stuart. It's always nice to see a customer rating us as 5*. For the very few motorhome pitches that are on a very slight slope, I leave self levelling ramps for people to use, which seems to be well received. Paul

Little Acres is a lovely site with friendly owners. Paul was very informative of the area and gave a recommendation of the Crooklands Hotel. It was just across the road and they served lovely food and had lovely friendly staff and also allowed dogs in the bar area. The site lies right by the Lancaster Canal where you can walk your dog along the banks. The toilets and showers were spotless and provided toiletries for use, should you have left anything behind at home or in the caravan. We would definitely return to this site again.

Hi Gail. Thank you for recommending Little Acre and awarding us with 5*. I hope that your next stay with us is just as successful. Paul & Sarah

Great little campsite. Good people. Great facilities. Very dog friendly. Great/safe for kids. You need 20ps for the shower. Not very far from the M6 so a plus from accessibility, but you can hear the traffic a bit if you are looking for silence. Will definitely go again. Thank you.
Site's response
Hi Ann I'm glad that you enjoyed your short get away at Little Acre. Yes, the showers are 20p for 3 mins, but on the plus side, we also provide complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. It would be lovely to host you and the pooches again in the future. Paul

Tucked away little site right next to Lancaster canal. Well kept and peaceful. Only one shower, but worth the 20 pence as nice and hot. Will definitely go back.
Site's response
Hi Jacqueline. I'm glad that you enjoyed your peaceful break at Little Acre. When you come back, I'll show you where the other shower and loo block is OR, if you are back in 2023, where are brand new and much larger loo, shower and laundry block is. Paul

Paul, the proprietor, is a very friendly and helpful guy to whom nothing appears too much trouble. We booked the site back in February and were planning to spend the weekend with friends who own a Sprinter Type Motorhome. Regrettably, the Motorhome was stolen a couple of weeks before the planned trip and we considered having to cancel. However, thanks to Paul's ongoing communications, proactivity and flexibility, he went the extra mile by organising pitch changes, such that our friends could erect a tent next to our Caravan, thus saving a much anticipated and needed weekend away. The site is neat, well kept and compact with very clean and adequate facilities. It is also very close to the M6 and A65 which makes it handy for places such as Milnthorpe, Arnside, Silverdale and Holme whilst Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and Grange are not too far away either. Friday pizza night on-site was a welcome surprise and the Crooklands Hotel which serves excellent food is only about 200m from the gate. All things considered, Little Acre is great little site in a convenient spot with cracking proprietors and is well worth a try. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Site's response
Thank you for the lovely review Alistair. I'm glad that it all worked out well in the end - what you didn't say was that the goodwill, flexibility and "can do" approach from yourself and your friend helped me enormously to do what I did. Paul

Great campsite - very friendly owner. Everything has been thought of from supplying cables for hook up to products in the showers, really great. Location is gorgeous - just off the M6 but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. There’s a lovely canal towpath to walk along, you can hire kayaks from further down the canal; there’s a nice pub with decent food across the road and South Lakes riding club is very close by, horse shows every weekend. Facilities are immaculate, pitches are serviced as soon as previous guests leave. There’s a pizza man every Friday night which is a great idea, plus a local ice cream van called on Saturday afternoon. Really can’t think of anything negative to say - gorgeous place.

Stayed here as a stopover on our way to Scotland. Loved it, so friendly, clean, lovely dog friendly pub nearby and a pop up pizza takeaway. Really tranquil.

Great stay at a lovely site. A nice pitch and easy to get to, close to the M6. If I was to be fussy maybe more than 1 shower and 1 toilet was needed for the gents on the motorhome/ caravan pitches. But that did not distract from our stay and would definitely like to return sometime.
Site's response
Hello John. Thank you for your lovely review and recommendation. We agree with you you that extra showers and loos for that part of the site would be appreciated and the good news is that we have recently got planning permission to add a new shower, loo and laundry block - with the work due to be done when the site closes for Winter. Fingers crossed that all will be in place for the 2023 season. Paul & Sarah p.s. there is an additional larger shower and loo block on site for people to use as well.
