About the site

Enjoy a peaceful stay at this small, countryside glamping site. Meet a range of friendly farm animals, with fresh hen eggs available for your breakfast. There is also a farm shop and country pubs within a five minute drive for sampling some more Dorset produce. Each of the five pods features a comfortable double bed with under-bed storage, bedding and linen. An additional sofa bed can sleep up to two children under eight, or one child under 12. Do note, bedding isn't supplied for the sofa bed so you will need to bring your own. The kitchenette is fully stocked with essentials, including an oven, two ring hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and kitchen sink. There is even a dining table for meals together. Central heating, electricity, a TV and fast WiFi are also included. A modern ensuite bathroom comes complete with a shower, toilet, and hand basin, along with towels. Outside, each pod has its own private patio area, furnished with outdoor seating and a BBQ grill for outdoor dining and admiring your countryside views. Charcoal is available to purchase onsite too. Please note, this site is pet free. Open fires are also not allowed.

Each glamping pod has its own ensuite and kitchen. There is also a small children's play park and nature trail. Set on a farm, there are sheep, lambs, pygmy goats and chickens with eggs available to buy.

For grabbing essentials, there is a Spar and The Udder Farm Shop within a five minute drive. The Ship Inn and The Crown are also within a five minute drive for meals out.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was ideal for our small family with everything we needed. We visited Stourhead (20 min drive) which was beautiful and spent the day at Longleat (35 min drive). We also did some wonderful local walks.

We had a wonderful stay here, we had a friendly welcome on arrival. The location worked well for us as we did day trips to Longleat, Stonehenge and Lyme Regis. The pod was well equipped and clean, in the information booklet it mentioned Udder farm shop down the road which was fantastic.

Check-in is available from 3pm until 9pm. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Departure is due before 10am on your last day.

No, there is no parking by the glamping pods, all cars must be parked in the designated area. The site also asks that there be no vehicle movement between midnight and 7am.

Are bedding and towels included at Lyde Hill Holidays?

There is bedding provided for the double bed in the glamping pods. However, if you are using the sofa bed, there will be no bedding provided, and it is suitable only for small children.

Our site is located on a former dairy farm, where you can soak up the tranquillity of rural life while still being within easy reach of plenty of attractions.
