Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Gate Hangs High in Hook Norton is a simple pub site, suitable for camping and touring on unallocated grass pitches. We camped on the field which is a bit uneven, so choks are a must. The pub have great food and drink. Staff are so friendly and a great laugh too. Even saw the shire horse and carriage. Nothing is too much trouble for Pete, please tell me I got his name right.

Very nice pub, fine campsite

We were very happy with The Gate Hangs High as a pub, and stayed for two nights on their campsite. It's certainly OK for a short stay, but as the facilities are quite limited, I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The site is rather close to a road, so don't expect complete silence.
