About the site

Set on a 15 acre smallholding of natural, tranquil landscape, the pod sits in a completely secluded location with no other guests on-site. Located in peaceful countryside, this adults only site is an ideal base for couples and solo travellers looking to explore Wales. This beautiful and tranquil site is home to one glamping pod, equipped with a double bed, ensuite with toilet and shower, heating and hot water. Inside, you'll also find a well-equipped kitchenette with a two-ring gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, sofa and satellite TV. Bedding is provided. Outside, unwind with lake views, a BBQ area, and outdoor seating for al fresco evenings. Relax around the fishing lakes, which promote an abundance of wildlife, so keep an eye out for frogs, newts, lizards, ducks, geese, red kites, kingfishers, butterflies, dragonflies, foxes, and even the occasional otter. Or head over to Tafarn Y Bont, a traditional pub just a 30 minute walk from the site, for a local pint and bite to eat. Anglers can enjoy fishing in the four onsite lakes, featuring a huge number of different species of fish. You will find Common Carp and Mirror Carp up to 20lbs as well as Crucian Carp, Grass Carp, Perch, Roach, Tench, Bream, and Rainbow, Brown and Tiger trout. Days out can be spent along the coast, with sandy/stoney Llanrhystud Beach just 20 minutes away and the popular seaside town of Aberaeron just 25 minutes from the site. There are also several scenic walking routes nearby, including Hafod Estate (30 minutes) with its mix of waterfalls, woodlands and historic trails. At night, settle in for spectacular stargazing beneath dark, open skies completely free from light pollution and the bustle of modern life. Whether you're here to fish, relax, or simply reconnect with your partner and the wild, this hidden gem promises a truly quiet and restful escape.

Glamping Pod - Ensuite Glamping PodAug 2025

We booked to stay for two nights in this lovely pod, to use it as a base to go exploring on the motorbike. However, we wished we had arranged to spend more time in the pod as it was gorgeous. The pod is on an old fishery site, the owners live in the house on site, but the pod is on it's own, with it's own parking. The views are amazing. There are four fishing lakes, which only the occupants of the pod can use. Unfortunately, we don't fish, but it was just as beautiful to sit by the lakes and enjoy the peace and quiet. Colin was helpful and friendly, he greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. There was milk and butter left for us, as well as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, shower gel, soap, towels and bedding. This pod was only opened last year, it is new, clean and modern. It's the only pod on the site, so there is no noise from anyone else, apart from some sheep 🙂 I cannot recommend this pod enough, it was a gem of a find and we will definitely be back.

We spent a couple of nights in the pod and honestly didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape. The setting is so peaceful, with only the sound of birds and the odd sheep in the background. The highlight for us was definitely the fishing. Having the lakes to ourselves was a real treat, and we enjoyed spending hours by the water. Even when we weren’t fishing, just relaxing by the lakes was incredibly calming. The pod itself was spotless, modern, and really well thought out. Everything we needed was provided, including some tea, coffee and even some milk and butter in the fridge to get us started. Colin was welcoming and made sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. What we loved most is that there’s only one pod on the site, so it feels very private, no crowds, no noise. It’s the sort of place you can happily lose track of time. We’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful break with the bonus of fishing on the doorstep. We’ll definitely be back.
