October weekend
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2022 Second time we've stayed at Barn Farm and will definitely be returning....it's a lovely dog friendly site with clean facilities and the staff are great. There are several fantastic walks on your doorstep and 2 country pubs within easy walking distance (about 10 min).
Site can get busy on Bank Hols & summer weekends but don't they all!! At least here you are well spaced if it is busy.

A lovely campsite
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Oct 2022 A lovely campsite, clean, good facilities, friendly staff. Two dog friendly pubs close by. Convenient for Chatsworth House (15 mins drive). We arrived a bit later than anticipated and the reception staff had gone home even though they advertise reception open until 8pm on a Friday. Wasn't a problem as we found our site but definitely call ahead if you are delayed. Had a games room for teens but we didn't use it. Peacocks roaming freely.

Great site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2022 Lovely site, easy access to Matlock Bath. Good facilities, nice big showers. Our hard standing pitch was a little uneven so a few blocks were required to level the caravan, but not too bad.
We will definitely return.

A lovely campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2022 This is a lovely campsite. Campsite has plenty of toilets and showers for the campers. The showers near reception were very spacious. There are lovely walks from this campsite and the village has 2 pubs which can easily be walked to!
Super peaceful, clean and highly recommended
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Sep 2022 We loved our stay. The site was well maintained, the facilities clean. Never ran out of hot water and well stocked with loo roll. The pitches were well maintained.
Loads to do in the local area and we highly recommend the Red Lion (don’t forget to book) for food.
Good value for money for a really peaceful spot
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Sep 2022 We only live a few miles from the campsite, but thought it was a great place to take the kids for a few nights to get away and be in a different setting. Facilities were clean and tidy and easily accessible with a handy play park in the family camping field. Two very handy pubs down the road and Stanton Moor on your doorstep for a short walk and some great views.
Looking to visit again in the future.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2022 The site is very good for all ages we found, the play area is looking a bit tired in parts (trampoline 🤔) but kids still enjoyed it.
Very quiet and family friendly even with family groups pitching together. Location wasn't bad if you wanted to be close to Matlock. It was great to see the peacocks and alpacas 🦙 on the site!
Brilliant site - highly recommend Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Sep 2022 This site is located in the middle of incredible Derbyshire countryside and only 5-10 minutes walk from 2 village pubs. There’s loads of great walks around the campsite and Matlock is either a short drive or nice walk away. The facilities are immaculate, and the games room is a nice bonus, alongside a well stocked onsite shop. For the price, Barn Farm would be very hard to beat!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Sep 2022 Really lovely campsite. Great for children and families. Lovely to see peacocks roaming around. Lots of big space for children to play.
Facilities are great. Really enjoyed the stay. Just needed it to be a few degrees warmer at night!!

Fantastic campsite
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Sep 2022 We went as a family of 6 and stayed in the family field with play park, we had a great time. Clean toilet/shower block.
I would say arrive as early as you can to get a good spot as it's not flat.
Electric hook up for tents would be a bonus.
We will definitely be back.
Second time there
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Sep 2022 This was our second time at Barn Farm. It's a lovely campsite in a great location with two pubs within walking distance.
Then only downside was the toilets/sinks. We arrived on the Saturday and by the evening most of the toilets had no loo roll in them, the sanitary bins needed emptying and the sinks were covered in hair.
Aside from that, it's a great place.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2022 We enjoyed a last minute 2 night break with relaxation, a couple of dog walks and family time on the agenda and were not disappointed.
Lovely clean site with great facilities and friendly staff. Take note of the details for approach for pulling a tourer. Pitches can also be uneven so be willing to level your caravan (blocks supplied if needed).

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Sep 2022 Overall a good weekend, lovely campsite with good facilities.
Range of activities for kids, like a games room, and outdoor games like badminton, basketball hoop, wooden climbing frame. Some noise from adjacent field - no big issue - but not totally peaceful. However, great for family groups & lots of walks on the doorsteps. Fantastic pub in village (Druid's Inn) where we ate dinner - highly recommended.

Facilities and reception were good. Kids loved exploring the surrounding woodland and adults enjoyed the local pubs. Pitches were on a sloped field and there was no recycling facility but these are minor issues really. Will definitely come back.
