About the site

Set in the shadow of Fotheringhay Castle's ruins and just a short drive from the market town of Oundle (10 minutes), this back-to-basics site is the perfect spot for an (almost) wild camping break. Right on the banks of the River Nene, it's a great site for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming. Spacious grass pitches set on a large field, welcoming tents, campervans and caravans. Pitches aren't allocated, so guests can choose where to set up camp. The site also has five certificated caravan pitches for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only. An entire field can be booked out for larger groups looking to spread out. Dogs welcome.

A note from the site themselves...

Our fourth generation farm has been in the Gould family for nearly 100 years, growing both combinable crops and sugar beet, as well as being home to sheep and cattle. We love to see visitors enjoying all that our wonderful location has to offer. We first began welcoming caravan club members in 1990, and throughout the year boats use our beautifully maintained facilities for moorings.

We are always looking for new ways to utilise our facilities and always love hearing our guest's ideas. We are always happy to provide you simply with a field, or to help organise your event. We hope to welcome you soon, Charles

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Great views from the higher part of the site, although we couldn't see the river from our pitch. The countryside was beautiful & Fotheringhay is charming. Site rules about noise & well behaved dogs were respected which made it very restful. Portaloos were kept clean & stocked. All very nicely done. Kaz was a great site manager.

Gem!
