Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Showers were very good, but the water temp was not consistent. Although overall still good.
Great campsite in a beautiful location Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 Stayed here for two nights and would loved to have stayed more, but we had an itinerary to stick to.
The site is lovely and well maintained. Showers and toilets are spotless and provide everything you need. Staff are ultra friendly and it is an easy walk into Machrihanish to enjoy a drink and good food. We ate at the old clubhouse, which is a lovely spot.
It is easy to visit the rest of the Mull of Kintyre or to play golf at either Machrihanish or at the considerably cheaper but equally beautiful, Dunaverty course at Southend. For those who don't golf as such, there is a mini golf on site which is fun and a nice touch. There is also a kids area as well as the beach and the site is dog friendly.
We really enjoyed our time here and were sad to leave.
Nice one night stay Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Lovely welcome didn't get ladies name but very pleasant. Very good showers and toilets. Good local old club house 10-15min walk. Food looked good and house red was very palatable. No local shop and a bit remote but would recommend.
Lovely location Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Lovely location, on checking in we were offered a option of pitches, grass and hardstanding. Short walk to access miles of beach, ideal for our two dogs. Pub in village.
Weather was changeable when we were there, but it was still enjoyable.
Peaceful sea view Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Upon arrival, I was greeted to a warm and friendly welcome from the lady at reception (positive her name was Lorna) she went out her way to find out if the pub had opened for meals for the season down in the village, so that we didn't have to drive back to Campbeltown.
It's a pretty small site, so if it's peace and quiet you're looking for, then you will definitely get it here. The toilets are the cleanest and warmest I've ever used on a site and each one has a shower unit and hand basin. There is no on site restaurant, so you'll either have to take the 15 minute walk down to the old club house (you'll get a cracking burger), or 5/6 mile drive back to Campbeltown.
Site has Wi-Fi but it's only free for the 1st hour per device then it costs. However, phone and data signal is decent. There is also a little crazy golf course for the kids.
