Brilliant location

A brilliant location! The bar was open for food and drink in the evening, the service was great. I felt that the facilities were dirty. However, I am a huge believer if we all treated things with respect, it would never get to a poor condition. Nether the less, it should be maintained.

Not impressed

The cost was £35 per night, including an EHU. The road had pot holes everywhere and they forgot to add our van on the computer, so we couldn't get out of the car park. I felt that the toilets were not cleaned often and there was no loo roll in one for 2 days. I thought it was expensive, in my opinion. The toilet and showers are a fair distance from campers. I wouldn't go again.

We are currently in the process of recruiting a cleaner so that all our facilities are up to speck again. Regarding the car park, we currently have a few large pot holes, where the public bus drives by on a daily basis, but this will get rectify through our shutdown period in January. Nevis campsite

This is the second time we have stayed in our van at this site. The facilities are lovely and the showers are amazing. It was my first time having to use the disabled facilities and I loved it. My only small criticism of all showers is that there is no shelf to put your toiletries on, this is especially important when using the disabled facilities. The only other thing of note was that as you walk from the site over the bridge to the facilities, there is a sudden concrete edge, which actually sticks up at one end. The lighting is very poor, which makes this even more of a trip hazard. I know this is a campervan site and is up a hill, but I still feel this could be fixed to make it much safer for all.

Good site, few niggles

Having stayed the first night and enjoyed it we booked a 2nd night while we was there. The facilities are great shower blocks and toilets just a small walk away. Lots to do on site, like walking, biking trails, Go Ape, bar, cafes, gift shop, bike hire. There is a cable car that gives you access to more walking and mountain biking trails. My only complaint is that when we arrived back the 2nd day after going out, we found another camper parked in our pitch, even though I'd left my awning and water bowser on it to show it was taken. Called in reception to confirm that had booked another night and had left our awning up as we were nipping out. When we arrived back, every other electric hook up point would not work and kept tripping out, so spent the next hour back and forth having to wait for someone to sort that and then take down the awning and re pitch somewhere else. Overall, a good little site, dish washing facilities have been damaged so didn't have a roof on at the moment but not the end of the world, still functional just a little unsightly. To sum up, I would recommend this campsite to others. A bit of care and attention is needed to the facilities and electric hook up points, but could be sorted out easily. Overall a decent stay, just a few bits to iron out.

Filthy shower block

Location was spot on for going out walking. We have three dogs and everywhere is dog friendly, which is great. Unfortunately, the toilets and shower block were a disgrace. They had not been cleaned in the two nights we were there. There were no toilet roll in any cubical. We did report this to the ticket office and none was put in until the morning after. Didn't get a shower on the last day due to the cleanliness of the showers. The pitches are hard and had plenty of space, however, the bins were overflowing. Looked like they'd not been emptied for a long a long time.

Ideal for mountain biking

Enjoyed our stay, the shower block is spotless and electric hookup worked well. No evening food on site due to a private function, so we drove to Fort William for a pizza. No WIFI or phone coverage on the electric hookup side of the campsite.

Perfect for us

It doesn't look much, but the facilities are top notch. Had a great meal and the showers were amazing. Quiet and perfect.

Toilet block too far from site

Quite a treck from the site too the toilet/showers. The lighting could be better on the path for campervans.

Quiet and secure, convenient for Fort William

Good site, park up area is a little bland but facilities good. On the expensive side but it is Fort William.

Excellent facility

The site had everything you would need whilst in a campervan. It even has its own hotel within the complex. Plenty of hot water and clean showers.

Fantastic! A must for mountain bikers

A great campsite, with some of the best mountain bike trails in the UK, including the UCI fort William downhill track. The campsite has great facilities and is really dog friendly, all the onsite cafe's offered a fresh bowl of water for the dog. Will definitely be visiting again!

Motorhome stay

It was a brilliant place to stay. A small site and extremely quiet. Loved it and will return.

Felt like we were staying in an overflow car park. Disappointing stay. Booked for 2 nights and stayed 1.

Great place

Great place to stay. Clean showers and toilets. The actual campsite was all hard standing, with the area allocated providing little additional space to sit out. Luckily we were a group of three so we were able to access another pitch on an evening. I would still recommend the site and would stay again.

Drying facilities

Great location, good hook-up and near to the main centre. But lacking in drying facilities. Give it 8-10.

It’s ok

The drive up to campsite is riddled with potholes. The site itself is very confusing with the way it's marked out. The showers and toilets are clean but a little bit far away from parked vehicles.

First and foremost your receptionist, sure she was Australian, before we even arrived she helped us so much over the phone, so friendly. On arrival she was very welcoming, very helpful. I I am aware this is her job but she didn't make it look like it was just a job (she needs a pay rise!). Massive thank you to her as this was our first time trying this. I wish we had booked both our nights with you and she would have been the reason. We already booked the Saturday night elsewhere before finding you. Facilities were clean, the little extras I noticed in the ladies were appreciated even though (thankfully) I didn't need them. The road from reception was a bit bumpy with pot holes, one big one, our camper thankfully handled these easily. I was worried about falling into them on the walk to the toilets. Some lighting along that path/road would be so useful. The café in the morning, sadly wasn't the greatest. The young lady serving us was less than helpful, when asked for brown sauces, she flung her hand over in the direction of a table where, actually there was no brown sauce. We ordered link sausage rolls, these were served dry with the sausage on them, wouldn't have been as bad if the sausage was on the side to give options before we had to deconstruct our roll. The sausages were cold. Yes, I could have complained but I wasn't actually sure what more, other than microwaving my bitten sausage, could have been done. Also had to go back and ask for sauce again where the same girl mumbled and walked away to a young gent who actually went to get us the sauce. Unusually, the prices were quite fair! I genuinely expected them to be more expensive. Had the sausages been hot, it would have been acceptable. All in, we'd definitely stay again. The campsite was lovely and quiet, there was a bright light on the little building opposite us which was a little annoying. Easy to find too and the best price we found for the night.

Okay

A nice enough site, which looks like it may be a work in progress. Great shower facilities. No grey waste drain. Bar on site was fab. Road into campsite has very large holes that need filled and there is foul smell from septic tank next to the facility block.

Not value for money

Said toilet and shower but they were in another part of the complex. Expected a view but all you could see was trees from campsite. I think it's best parking in a car park, unless you need electricity but I don't think £13 for electricity is worth it.

Quiet place close to Fort William

Well-developed environment close to the camping site.

1 Night

Good and beautiful place. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are quite far away from the pitch. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities not good and of 4 hairdryers only 1 worked. Showers also not clean and glass broken.

Forest setting

Really quite when we stayed even though you are next to the downhill and gondolas. Facilities were great, practical and clean.

Nevis range

A quiet place, it was clean and sanitary.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good, clean amenities. Easy to book. Good options as to on site restaurant etc.
