About the site

An adult only (18+) campsite on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. With easy access to the A30, it is ideal for stopovers as well as a base for exploring the landscapes of Devon. Guests can enjoy countryside surroundings while still being within 20 minutes of Exeter and Okehampton. There are a range of grass pitches for campers and tourers. Backpackers arriving on foot or by bike can choose simple non electric grass pitches measuring 4m x 4m. Larger grass pitches measure 8m x 8m and are suitable for tents, campervans and caravans, with optional 16 amp electric hook ups available. Tourers can also choose from hardstanding pitches measuring 8m x 8m, again with optional electric. Fully serviced hardstanding pitches include 16 amp electric, fresh water and waste connections, whilst the hardstanding aire pitches measure 8m x 5m and with optional electric. Awnings, pup tents and cars are welcome on all pitches except the backpacker and aire pitches. There is free WiFi across the site, a licensed shop selling essentials and camping supplies, and a communal bothy with a pool table, seating, games, charging points, a fridge and freezer. A secure access system and CCTV also help guests feel safe throughout their stay. For walkers and outdoor lovers, the location is ideal. The famous Two Moors Way passes close by. It can be accessed either via a short walk along the road at the front of the park (there is no footpath/pavement) or via the footpath directly from the park, then along country lanes. Dogs are very welcome, with up to three allowed per pitch. There is even a secure dog exercise field on-site where four-legged friends can run freely off the lead. Raised BBQs are welcome for outdoor cooking, with a farm shop and butchers next door for local produce. Please note, open fires are not permitted.

The site opens on 20th March, grass pitches are available until 30th September, hardstanding pitches until 2nd November and then from 12th until 31st December. Pitches from £18/night for 2 people.
