Great campsite

We spent one night at Loch Linnhe campsite. The site is well laid out, spacious pitches, lovely woodland walls. The check in process was quick and easy having done it in advance online, just had to pick up a map showing what pitch we were in. The facilities for washing and showering, dishwashing and emptying waste are immaculate. There is a shop although we didn’t use it and a takeaway food van open at specific times. ,

Lovely location

Campsite is located right on Loch Linnhe, we had electric hook up pitch was quite large. Showers & toilet facilities were fine and clean only gripe I have is using shower curtain ( hate them sticky to you ) would prefer shower with a shower screen this was the only negative.

Great site, great facilities

Very welcoming reception & shop even though the welcome board & pack gives you all the info you need. Excellent washroom facilities, there is even a bath available!!!. Short cycle ride into Fort William or local bus stop nearby.

Very Impressed

We made a last minute booking to break our journey home with a stop at Fort William. Campsites UK booking process was simple to use and gave us all the information we needed. The Linnhe siter ticked all the boxes. The confirmation email gave us all the information we needed to check in. On arrival we found a named envelope containing a site map, pitch number and the route to it laid out very clearly. We proceeded to the pitch and set up .The pitch was big enough, level and clean. All facilities were close by and clean. A lovely site on the banks of the loch and ideally placed to explore the local area.

Very impressive

We stayed only one night ,but found the park excellent, food van was adequate and very handy as we could have a drink and not head into town. Amanda on reception was more than helpful and her local knowledge was impressive and informative. Park was very clean with plenty of bins. Toilets and shower were very clean also with plenty of hot water. We shall return soon.

Lovely Lochside location

Lovely Lochside location, spotless showers and toilets, well laid out motorhome service point, very handy for local attractions and town centre.

Campsite touring review May 2025

Older campsite but in well kept condition with a new reception building. Staff were informative and very welcoming. Campervan touring pitch was very good but all shore pitches are for seasonal use, just so you are aware Shower block tired and old but water was piping hot . All in all a great stopover.

Okay, but not fantastic

If you like wild camping, this site is for you. The area reserved for tents is the furthest from the facilities and reception, along a road full of deep pot holes. There was a pretty view from my tent as I was right beside the water. I think this site cares more about those in static caravans and campervans who spend more money.

Peaceful site in winter

Peaceful site with lovely, lochside views. Toilet/shower blocks cleaned daily but although heated, a little bit cold in February as they have very high ceilings. Really lovely staff and overall, an enjoyable stay.

Poor

Camping for a long weekend. I did observe it myself, the camping pitches on the Dinghy terrace were used as a dog muck area by static caravans users, as well as the touring pitches by the toilet block. Had to pick up 5 dog bag full of dog muck before we could put tent up. Clearly, the static van users aren't encouraged to pick up after their dogs. This was observed by us in the mornings and evenings! People using toilet and shower facilities during the evening and just generally leaving a mess. No site security for personal belongings or in general. All in all, felt a poorly run site. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Not recommended for camping or tourers.

Excellent

I booked this site for 2 nights with my tent, the location is great as it's close to the shops and the Ben Nevis visitors centre. We pitched our tents with a view of the lake which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower facilities were very clean and had hot water for showers and in sinks. It was very quiet in the night, I definitely recommend this site.

Camping

We stayed two nights here. A great location and only 10-15mins away from shops. Very clean, great facilities and quiet. Very pretty views also. Would 10/10 recommend and I would stay again! Good price!

Convenient for one night stay

It was a good site for our one night stop over. A nice pitch, with excellent views and we walked down to the loch the next morning. The shower block was close by, there was a kitchen/washing up area and bins.

Beautiful campsite, very clean, quiet and friendly. Reception lady was lovely.

Fantastic site

This was a last minute booking at Loch Linnhe campsite and my grandson and I wish we were booked in for longer. The location and facilities were fantastic.

Pretty area

Very crowded. Don't expect views of the loch but you'll get plenty of rooftops.

Our first family caravan trip for a few days

Finally, we managed to go away with the family for a longer time in the caravan. A long awaited trip and we were not disappointed. Beautiful place, wonderful views. Really good service, it was really clean (toilets and showers). At the reception, we got all the information we needed, where we can go with our children of their age and what we can see. We left this morning and my children were already asking when we can come back here next year but for longer :) Thank you, we spent a really great time with you.

The campsite is easy to find and everything is clean. I would come back again.

Beautiful location, value for money

We have had a great experience. Location-wise, it was perfect, pricing-wise, it was competitive. However, cleanliness was not at par. During our two nights, we noticed that shower facilities were not cleaned. Toilets were missing toilet tissues. Apart from that, it was a good experience.

Amazing for first timers and spectecular views

Great location and views to die for, perfect for kayaks and very dog friendly and child friendly. Cleaning facilities are spotless and also the burger van is very reasonably priced and the food was very delish too.

Great view

Site is quite a way out of Fort William. We liked the terraced approach and the planting around the site. Our pitch afforded a great view down the Loch. The facilities were relatively clean but a little dated. Check in procedure straightforward but impersonal.
