Clear filters Lovely Campsite!
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Went with a small group and two dogs. Clean facilities, helpful staff and great area.

Great campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Had a fabulous long weekend. We're an adult couple and although this is a family campsite, we had a great and peaceful few days. Facilities are great and the walks around are beautiful.

All round good family campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Everything was all round pretty good.
Staff were friendly, it was easy to find and close to (within 15-30 minutes car drive) beaches and local towns.
Busy yet quiet, friendly and family friendly. I would recommend this campsite to others and will most likely revisit again.

Nice family friendly site
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A great campsite with a variety of pitches. Onsite shop and cafe and decent sized wash up facilities.
We had a really good stay.
My only negative would be that the showers were a bit lacking, the outdoor ones were significantly better than the ones in the toilet block. (Unisex and mens, can't speak for the ladies facilities) but the cubicles were designed in a way that made it nearly impossible to hang a towel/dry clothes/put your shoes somewhere and not get them completely soaked by spray either from your own shower, or the next cubicle over, I have young twins and it basically meant I had to shower with each kid I washed, whether I wanted to or not - and I couldn't really have them both in there at the same time without one of them being freezing cold.
That said, a huge positive from me having the unisex facilities, it made managing the kids showers and bathroom breaks much easier!
Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. Really close to everything we wanted.

Perfect stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Amazing campsite, one of our favourites so far! Facilities are clean and modern, the setting is lovely with spacious fields and woods surrounding. We were able to walk down to Studland Bay. Lovely cafe for breakfast and a decent shop too.

Stunning and well kept campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Amazing friendly staff and a well kept site. The facilities were very clean, the showers were a bit old, but still work and are clean.
We will definitely be coming to use this pitch again. My 9 year old girl, 6 year boy and myself absolutely loved it.

Beautiful place
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 A beautiful campsite with friendly, helpful staff in all departments. The shop stocked lots of lovely items and I love that you can hire a fire pit.
The only downside was that I booked this campsite as it has a dogs on leads rule at all times but unfortunately three different campers ignored this and having dogs charge at you did made it uncomfortable at times. Having said that, the staff member I spoke to was friendly and understanding and was proactive about the issue.
I would like to stay again one day, maybe in the lodges next time.

Lovely family site
Small Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jul 2024 I camped alone and felt very safe as the other occupants were mainly families with young children.
The facilities are very good and well maintained.

Great campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Great campsite, great position, and a good stay.
My only complaint is that by allowing and encouraging (metal) fire pits by campers, the small wooded camping area was so smoky at times in the evening, that the smoke made us cough badly.

Great location
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Perfect location. Curfew from 11pm, which some guests chose to ignore. The Snack Shack is fantastic - salt and pepper squid last night, which was fantastic. A good choice of decent food and freshly prepared!

Average campsite Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 A very large campsite, which would get very busy during the summer months. However, there are only a few blocks of showers and one toilet block, can't imagine this would be good in the busier periods.
The large group fields have porta loos but no showers so you need to walk to the main block for a shower.
Only 10 electrical hook-up pitches. Good location for beach - walking - cycling.

Basic but okay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 This campsite clearly gets busy, which in-turn creates a few issues.
Firstly, for me, there aren't enough facilities for the numbers using the site. Additionally, the hot water in the showers operate on a push button system, which would be more acceptable if after each push the hot water lasted longer than less than a minute! On the plus side, the facilities were kept clean.
With large numbers of campers comes noise and this site got quite noisy between 9.00pm and what seemed like midnight on Friday and Saturday. Finally, there was lots of space, but no getting away from loud campers in family groups.

We do get busy at weekends, and we put a lot of additional toilets in the fields to help deal with the demand. I'm pleased to read that you found our facilities to be clean as our team work tirelessly on them.
We have wardens patrolling the site until 11pm and have a 10:30pm noise rule which we enforce across the site.

Really really nice
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 100% recommend. Had a lovely 2 night stay. Check in was nice and easy! Amazing that they have a little café. Very clean, very tidy and extremely well looked after. They even placed temporary showers closer to the busy fields so people didn't have to walk too far in their shower outfits.
The only tiny tiny negative I could say is that the temp showers heads could do with adjusting. Bit of a blast in the face and everything in the chamber gets wet, but I would take that every day to stay again! Will 100% be going back. Nothing better than having a little camp fire with the dog next to us.

Unforgettable trip!
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Brilliant location, very affordable and overall, an unforgettable trip!
After finishing our A-Levels me and my friends decided to go on a camping trip and I stumbled across Burnbake. After looking at pictures, I thought it was a lovely location to go to but after arriving it turned out to be better than anything we could've expected, the views around were absolutely beautiful and the facilities were amazing. The location of the place was perfect as we had plenty to do, keeping us occupied over our stay.
As well, the facilities were top notch with excellent staff who were always helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend a stay at Burnbake - my friends and I could not think of a single complaint!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 This was our first time camping just the 1 night for a trial. We couldn't have picked a better place. The staff, site and facilities were all amazing. Dogs enjoyed the woodland walks. Other campers are so friendly. Will 100% be going back.
